    As a Cleveland Sports Fan I want to see something not done in 51 years, a championship,but I bet God is a Steeler fan and will send a meteor. Or Klay Thompson turns into Michael Jordan and Curry into Magic.

    I honestly have no idea how this one’s gonna go. I’m okay with either of these teams winning, they’ve both played some great ball. Hoping for a good game!

    @Ben Cisco (onboard the Defiant):

    For the first time since 2004, a new scheduling format was instituted for the Finals. In previous years, the Finals was played in a Thursday–Sunday–Tuesday scheme. However, the league changed its scheduling to ensure an extra day off for both teams, which have to travel from one city to another during the duration of the series. This, along with the designated travel day, took place after Games 2, 4, 5, and 6.

    Love a close game seven. Feels vintage; plenty of fast breaks, but also lots of work in the paint. Something we haven’t seen much of this finals.

    June 19, 2016 at 8:51 pm

    @redshirt: I moved here from Urbana 32 years ago and was on the road when the Cubs pitched to Garvey with 1st base open and went on to lose the series. I was in Fulton County Stadium when Lopes was going for the stolen base record and they Braves ground crew watered the bas paths and he fell and got thrown out. I went to a playoff game in 2004 and honestly didn’t know who I was for until I got in. The thing is that when you live somewhere like Atlanta and they have that incredible run, it’s hard to follow a team that is terrible. I actually could not name one player on the Cubs now but I’s like to see them do well. I have not watched one baseball game this year but I’ve seen almost every Euro and Copa. Also, this is really the first NBA game I’ve watched start to finish (if I finish.)

    I would have preferred Cleveland go 0-for-Wahoo, but some GSW players were so classless after Game 5 RE: LeBron that I’m glad it bit them in the ass. The Midwest could use as much good news as it can get, too.

    This was the first time my wife & I were on different sides. I was for GSW (we’re in No. Cal after all) and she was all Cleveland.
    Thing is, I’ve always loved LeBron – both as a player and as a man – so if the Warriors had to lose I’m glad it was him. And he just got MVP. I Love That!

    So there’s this sport called basketball. During the winter it’s too cold to play football or baseball, so a guy named Naismith came up with this game called basketball to be played in a gym indoors during the cold, snowy winter months.

    The world championship game of this basketball sport was just played – on the day before the summer solstice.

    People stayed inside in an arena, or in front of their television, to watch this game, and the numerous games leading up to it, on fine spring evenings in May and June.

    People are strange.

    My 35 year old son born in Akron, packed up the family in St Louis where he lives and drove home on Friday in order to be in Cleveland Sunday night. . Along with a group of his high school friends, they got some hotel rooms, went to the Indians game and then joined the crowds to watch the the game while I watched the grandbaby. I thought he was crazy but memories for a life time.
