Nice run by the Welsh, but all good things come to an end. Not really surprising to see Portugal come out of their half of the bracket, most of the other elite teams being on the other side.

Well, this is what I love about soccer. I assumed Belgium but was wrong; thought Wales would win but was wrong – that was more heart than head anyway (and I knew that Ramsey’s gifted ball placement skills may well have been the key difference in the game), and probably another heart over head selection of Iceland over France. As if. Great tournament so far, and I hope tomorrow’s is as good as it might be. You just never know, any given day…
