lol, that’s pretty awesome.
Everyone remember to sign up to volunteer. Time to GOTV and hammer this home.
For the nighttime knitting crowd, Anna H. at Mochimochi Land has a free Tiny Trump and Tiny Hillary pattern.
If you make Trump with worsted weight instead of sock weight and add a little catnip, he would make a fine cat toy. Just sayin’.

Kicking breaks the rules! Just like Crooked Hillary did last night! She was even given the questions early!
Also, too, today was full of small annoyances, but at least the new Tessa Dare book downloaded to my Kindle on schedule. That cheered me up.

@Major Major Major Major: Their tears refresh and delight me, the worthless fucks.
Lemme see if I can do the link-fu from the book of faces on this one…..
Yep – it worked. Hillary is flawed – we are all flawed – but she is and has been in the trenches most of her life in service to the public.
@Mnemosyne: ha ha cool idea. Is tiny knitting hard ? (Compared to the easiest basic knitting)
LOL. That lil girl is so mean.
I have carpal tunnel issues, so it hurts my hands if I’m not careful, but it’s not hard. A little fiddly, but that’s not the same thing.
@seaboogie: That is awesome.
I also have the dilemma of deciding which knitting bag to bring: Obama ’08 or Batgirl? They both have their merits and they’re the same size.
@Major Major Major Major:
The article is bad enough, but the comments are truly pathetic. She had an earpiece. Yeah, an invisible earpiece.
The amazing thing is that even if any of what those Bozos wrote is true (ahem), none of it made Trump act like a complete buffoon — he did that all on his own.
@Mnemosyne: Hilarious knitting patterns at that site.
@Major Major Major Major: The source cited in that article is at https://baltimoregazette.com/clinton-received-debate-questions-week-debate/.
This site had an article up a week or three back about a white police officer killing a black mother in front of her toddler, which was a complete fabrication. I came across it because some of my black friends were sharing it. I went and looked for confirmation, and instead found that it had been confirmed false.
I can’t look at the article I linked above because apparently the webmasters there are too incompetent (or perhaps unwilling to spend the money on a CA, which would be incontrovertible evidence of who they are) to be able to properly configure a secure web server. I find the possibility that they’re unwilling because it would be very easy to find out who’s behind the site bolstered by the fact that they’re using the Domains by Proxy domain anonymising service, and maybe tried to roll their own and failed.
Lotta misinformation going around out there. Good idea to check the provenance of everything you see or hear over the next few months; after perusing the site last week I’m pretty sure the article about the black woman shot by police in front of her toddler was done specifically so it could later be pointed to as a hoax to delegitimate the folks that shared it.
ETA: here’s an actual Baltimore news source’s article on it: http://www.citypaper.com/blogs/the-news-hole/bcpnews-someone-revived-the-baltimore-gazette-to-spread-fake-bullshit-20160923-story.html
If Hillary had an earpiece, then she learned it from the C-Plus Augustus. And they can fuck right off. Goose, gander, bitches.
@Major Major Major Major:
And even though she has the intelligence and drive and energy and toughness to have made millions, every year for all these years, in business or law or lobbying or medicine or whatever she wanted to do. Instead, she’s chosen public service most of her life. Unimaginable public attacks, but she still continues to channel her ambition into public service. She’s attacked on the left and right for having made money; but no mention of how much she could be making now if she didn’t run. Meanwhile DT campaigns primarily on his success at making money.
This election is crushingly unfair, but also such a clear cut illustration of the forces at work. I can’t say it well, but I think the election campaign itself is proving her strength as a leader.
@seaboogie: There is a crack in everything; that’s how the light gets in. I’ve seen that line repeated various times, and Louise Penny used the second half as the title of a book.
Finally looked up the origin and it seems to be Leonard Cohen.
Emerson said something a little similar: There is a crack in everything that God has made.
@Major Major Major Major: The girl child seems to be unfairly prepared for attacks.
@Aleta: She has not been taught to fight by the rules of gentlemen, she has been taught to win.
@opiejeanne: hey, you OK?
Even beneath those gloves, that young boy has very, very small hands and a pee stain in his undies.

ETA Just think how he’ll feel tomorrow when all his school mates find out. That’s the best part. Of course they all probably know he’s an asshole in training.
Commenting on this new political ad for Hillary just posted to YouTube, David Plouffe writes, “The Closer has entered the game.”
@Aleta: Yes, I’m good. Haven’t pooped yet, but I feel pretty good. Thanks for asking, and that’s probably a little more info than you wanted. ;-)
They didn’t get very far, exactly the same as 8 years ago, so I’m doing another prep for a CT colonography next Monday, in another building on the other side of the freeway. The little they did get a look at had no polyps and a very minor bit of diverticulosis.
Why they don’t have the durned machine in the same building is beyond me, but the hospital apparently doesn’t own one. Damn, we were spoiled at Kaiser. Everything here seems to be parceled out to various clinics, very little in-house and their computers have only recently started talking to each other. This is Evergreen in the Seattle area, and I’m considering switching to Swedish or UW.
@Keith G: Is that link good? I get a ‘can’t find the server” message.
Linky no work. I fix.
@opiejeanne: I can empathize with you. All these procedures tend to get one down. At 06:00 PST I get to have my pancreas removed. Spleen likely as well. Up late cant sleep.
Perfect video, Mr. Cole.
Shnikeys! Good luck with surgery. My thoughts are with you.
@Steeplejack (phone): Thanx. I will at least, if all goes wrong, die knowing HRC kicked his ass. And only delusional fools will deny it.

@Steeplejack (phone): Thank you, whenever I try to link using my tablet, I run into difficulties.
@opiejeanne: Gentlemen do not run up behind women and punch them in the back. The pommeling was well deserved.
Stay away from the drone option !
Peace and rapid recovery,
@robert thompson: Oh my! I hope it goes well; I certainly understand the sleeplessness.
@Prescott Cactus: I could only translate the first two characters of your morse code sentence, but the online auto-translators balked when I asked them for help.
I just realized that I never have to have another colonoscopy, ever; from now on it will be the CT option, which I prefer. Not sure how they plan to fix anything they find, short of invasive surgery, but I doubt that they will find anything.
@robert thompson: No dying. That’s not allowed. :-)
Will keep you in my thoughts tomorrow.
@Aleta: boy do you have it pegged right…
she’s a woman… so if she’s assertive… she’s bossy
if she’s serious… well, she needs to smile more
if she’s intelligent… suddenly she’s a know-it-all
she’s cited as being prepared… as if that’s a bad thing.
She’s held accountable for her husband’s transgressions
She’s held accountable for them being on the ass end of a real estate deal (Whitewater)
She’s held to a different standard on her e-mails than her predecessors
Her charitable works are under scrutiny for being accessible to the powerful, who are the same people that every charity lobbies
Her pay for speaking is under attack yet no one says a fucking thing when her opponent launders his public appearances through his foundation to avoid the taxes
and she has to deal with the lies and the smears and the insults every damn day and if I was a violent person, it would take a long time to find the bodies of Rushbo, Andrea and Chuckles who have been the ringleaders of enabling this cavalcade of innuendo to persist and succeed. Also too, the NYT would be a pile of charred wires and rubble deposited upon the vehicles of every senior editor and board member of the organization.
What is strange is that I voted for Obama, I am not entirely on board with all of her positions and ideas, but jaysus fucking Christ (on a Ritz or in a sidecar), at least she has ideas, wants to help people and believes that intelligent government programs and money can help make that happen.
There are times I really wish upon her enemies, the same amount of vitriol and passionate grudge holding that they’ve infected on her and see how well they handle themselves.
@opiejeanne: You are very kind. I had a Whipple previously. They removed the gall bladder, half the pancreas and about 5 feet of tubing. That worked for awhile. I hope this the last one. Theres not much left to take. Your condition is Crohns or something else.
Goodness. There really isn’t much left to take of you. I really do hope it goes well and that you recover to regale us with tales of the bad hospital food.
My condition isn’t Crohns, or did you mean yours is?
My condition is having had a hysterectomy so there are things missing that would have held other things in the correct positions for the doc. Instead it’s all just a collapsed heap of nonsense, which kind of describes me at times.
@robert thompson: The Whipple [email protected]opiejeanne: It’s a very tough one isn’t it?
Seems English to Morris code, then back to English isn’t smooth. with the translation machine.. Mocked T-rump about “she gained weight comment”.
I hope all goes well. Tests are never fun and you mostly get plain ol’ negative result, on rare occasion, just a couple of questions. Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you have any unceartanty !
@Prescott Cactus: I’ve already questioned them a bit, but have more for tomorrow when I pick up my barium cocktail (woohoo!). I want to know what the next step after the CT is, if they find something. Probably surgery, but I want them to tell me that.
Hmmm. I will try to get a good translation of your Morse code message tomorrow morning when I have time.
@robert thompson: Good luck
@robert thompson: Good luck with the surgery. We’ll be waiting to hear how you are when you feel up to posting. Healing thoughts sent!
@Major Major Major Major:
I wanted to respond to that idiot that they’ve both essentially had their questions for months, insofar as none of the questions should have come as a surprise to either candidate. And yet, HO still whiffed it. Sadly, his brave posts allowed no responses.
@Mnemosyne: Have you gotten surgery for carpal tunnel yet? I’ve had both hands done. My only regret is waiting so long to do it, thinking that I could “deal with it”
Wishing you good luck and better health.
@Mnemosyne: I enjoyed that one of hers I read, but now I can’t even remember the title – “Romancing the Duke”? I’d read another!
“Some people say” requires much less work than actual journalism.
At least there’s nothing at stake that’s more important than ad views and link-clicks.
@Major Major Major Major: Whine whine whine whine. One more Trumpista twit who defines losing as “somebody cheated me.”

Great quote… any idea who said it? Cause I won’t send around an anonymous quote. And I like this one enough to send it around, if I knew who said it…
The key thing is to overwrite with your (copied) link the
httpprefix that FYWP offers.
@JR in WV:
It appears to come from Pam L. Houston.

@Death Panel Truck:
Another information-free post by someone who has not posted anything recently, missing from sentimental-balloon database.
Why do these nimrods bother? We know who posts here, and can see a post with no information in it for ourselves. And we can see it and understand when a media “superstar” lies about content, much less a blogger amateur.

You won’t see this until you are way past the recovery room, but you know we are all rooting for your successful recovery! Best wishes from B-J. Only sorry I wasn’t up in the wee hours to chat.
OK, I watched the Frontline piece last night. I didn’t find it anti-Hills. I actually thought it gave context to how unique and tough she really is. Trump, OTOH, looked like a tiny but complete dick, which makes sense.
Rasputin's Evil Twin
I could watch this video for hours.
@robert thompson: Sending good wishes for rest and recovery.
Glad you’re OK!
I’ve come to think that for myself the venue and management of the facility matter a lot. And the skill of the person who’s doing what is considered a routine procedure by the hospital, but for me has had complications. Though my partner and relatives are much more ‘go with the flow,’ and that works OK for them.
@robert thompson: Do you have help or enough help during your recovery period? What would make your recovery easier?
@opiejeanne: I didn’t read far enough before commenting about your lifetime guarantee of no more colonoscopies. Do you have to get cleaned out again for Monday? I’ve used these two products instead of Gatorade (which makes me sick also).
(A lot of the reg flavors at the site are red or orange, but there is a regular lemon-lime one that I’ve used, too.)
On the site, each type has a handy ingredient list one can print or tablet or send to show your dr’s office. I like the low or no sugar ones at the link, because then I can mix them with any juice I like, or just water. They are made in the US.
@opiejeanne: Evergreen does not have a very high rating with the Newsweek or Solucient surveys. Swedish or UW are better choices.
