Unrelated, I just saw that topologists have won the Nobel in physics. I was going to say they flew the flag for topology, but then I started wondering what shape it would be.

@RaflW: You could do what I do – run an ad blocker (uBlock Origin for me) and also contribute real money to the blog at least once a year. Maybe the ad rates are lower this way (fewer impressions), but I like to think that my contribution more than makes up for that.

When the Act Blue Balloon Juice donation thing was first posted, I thought we would never get near 50K, but I somehow figured we would have lots of individuals donating. I am doubly surprised. I figured we would have more contributors but less total dollars. I know nothing!
