I am seriously hoping he goes nuts on someone asking him a question, hopefully cursing and insulting. Then I want Hillary to defend the questioner and have Drumpf take a swing at Hillary so that the Secret Service brings him down & sits on him. THAT would be must watch TV!

In case you can’t bear watching the video, here’s the Guardian’s description of the presser:

Appearing with Trump were Paula Jones, a former Arkansas state employee who in 1999 settled a sexual harassment case against Bill Clinton for $850,000 with no admission of guilt; Juanita Broaddrick, a former Arkansas nursing home administrator who says Clinton raped her in 1978, although in the 1990s she said in a sworn deposition that accusations of sexual assault against Clinton were untrue; Kathleen Willey, a former White House aide who said Clinton groped her in 1993 but also once testified that had not happened; and Kathy Shelton, whose rapist, in a crime that occurred when she was 12 years old, was defended by Hillary Clinton. Tapes later emerged of Hillary Clinton discussing the case with a reporter; several times on the tapes Clinton can be heard to laugh or giggle, once at a polygraph joke and other times at insider courthouse humor.

Pool report from Trump’s meeting with Paula Jones, Kathy Shelton, Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey

Whatever happened, I think Juanita Broaddrick believes her own story, and obviously Kathy Shelton is the victim of a terrible crime. It’s a shame no one could stop them from getting themselves mixed up with those other three goons.

And I told Mr. Suzanne that the single best thing that Jeb! could do at that moment would be to walk over and punch Trump in the face. Just cold-cock him. It would have refuted the attacks of weakness and would have shut Teh YUUUUUGEmouth up, and it would have completely changed the race. But of course he didn’t. Please clap.

I think there is a disturbingly large portion of the population that would love to see a woman be physically abused by a man in this context.

What Trentrunner just said. Ima just gonna leave this here. It’s Jennifer Rubin in The WaPo. The whole piece is good, but I fell in love with this paragraph. When you’ve lost Jennifer Rubin, you’ve LOST.

Vice-presidential nominee Mike Pence, who — according to friendly leaks trying to preserve the image of a good Christian — is distraught about all of Trump’s doings, is not so distraught as to step away from Trump. On Saturday, he released a campaign schedule for this week. Full steam ahead! Those suggesting he replace Trump at the top of the ticket (even if that were possible) or set himself up for a run for 2020 should reconsider. He is every bit as tainted as Trump — and does not have the excuse he is psychologically unbalanced or ignorant. He is simply opportunistic and craven.

And now I’m going to run to the store. I don’t think I am going to make it through this evening w/o beer.

I think we’ll finally find out how obsessed the country still is with Bill’s infidelity. We knew this line of attack was coming, but wasn’t sure of the intensity or the scale. Now we know. It’s all out, up to 11 attack. I think (and pray) that most Americans don’t see this as relevant to Hillary’s ability to be president and Donald’s complete lack thereof. The upside is that it could finally drive anyway of the undecideds, “moderate” repubs, Bernie fence-sitters, leaving Trump with his 27% base. That would likely lead to a Senate majority and possibly a House majority.

He didn’t. And I think it may be that he can’t. He’s fine being a bully to those he knows he can bully. He’s clearly aware that he can’t bully her. So when they’re together he just basically looks and sounds and acts frustrated. We’ll see if that dynamic holds tonight or whether he actually can bring himself to go there. And part of what also has to be accounted for is that the town hall format is not conducive to what he and his campaign seem to be telegraphing for tonight.

I am deeply sorry for what Kathy Shelton went through, and I don’t know the details of her case, but it is statistically unlikely that her rapist would ever have been convicted, and a plea bargain may have been the only way to get her assailant to take any sort of responsibility. That is horrible and sad, but that is nothing to lay at the feet of HRC. In fact, the rape culture that lets men get away with assault is much more the responsibility of…..Donald Trump, the confessed abuser.

This is just a nightmare election. I just can’t believe that everyday I am surprised by how low it has gone. You’d think by now I would be numb, but yet I am still surprised.

I hope that Hillary goes out there and is at her town hall best, connecting with people and talking about the policies that can change their circumstances. I admire her more everyday. There isn’t anything I can think of that I want enough to make going through all of this worth it. But she does, for public service. The woman is amazing, honestly. And I am not a gusher.

We’re not surprised to see Donald Trump continue his destructive race to the bottom. Hillary Clinton understands the opportunity in this town hall is to talk to voters on stage and in the audience about the issues that matter to them, and this stunt doesn’t change that. If Donald Trump doesn’t see that, that’s his loss. As always, she’s prepared to handle whatever Donald Trump throws her way.

@Suzanne: If you go to the snopes link I posted you’ll find this:
    http://www.snopes.com/hillary-clinton-freed-child-rapist-laughed-about-it/

Gibson said the same thing during a 2014 CNN interview about the case, adding that Hillary had attempted unsuccessfully to get the judge to remove her from the case:

Gibson said that it is “ridiculous” for people to question how Clinton became Taylor’s representation.

“She got appointed to represent this guy,” he told CNN when asked about the controversy.

According to Gibson, Maupin Cummings, the judge in the case, kept a list of attorneys who would represent poor clients. Clinton was on that list and helped run a legal aid clinic at the time.

Taylor was assigned a public defender in the case but Gibson said he quickly “started screaming for a woman attorney” to represent him.

Gibson said Clinton called him shortly after the judge assigned her to the case and said, “I don’t want to represent this guy. I just can’t stand this. I don’t want to get involved. Can you get me off?”

“I told her, ‘Well contact the judge and see what he says about it,’ but I also said don’t jump on him and make him mad,” Gibson said. “She contacted the judge and the judge didn’t remove her and she stayed on the case.”

As Newsday observed, the case was a “hopelessly convoluted” one in which the facts were far from straightforward and in which another person (a juvenile) was also charged:

The case, [Hillary] quickly learned, was hopelessly convoluted, hinging on the accounts of three people — Taylor, the girl and a 15-year-old boy — who all had reasons to withhold details.

Finding out precisely what happened in the pre-dawn hours of May 10, 1975, is difficult three decades later, particularly since Taylor died in 1992 of a heart ailment. But a basic outline can be reconstructed from interviews, court documents, witnesses’ statements and the Washington County sheriff’s original case file, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

Sometime around midnight, the girl was sleeping over at a friend’s house in Springdale when Taylor and his 20-year-old cousin walked in, asking if anyone wanted to take a drive. The sixth-grader, who says she was bored and wanted to buy a soda, jumped into Taylor’s beat-up red 1963 Chevrolet pickup truck.

Soon after, they picked up the 15-year-old boy and drove to a liquor store, where Taylor bought a pint of Old Grand-Dad whiskey, which he mixed for the girl in a cup of Coca-Cola, according to the boy, now a 48-year-old Army veteran. (Newsday is withholding the boy’s name because he was charged in the case as a juvenile offender.)

After a few hours at a local bowling alley, the foursome crammed into Taylor’s truck and drove to a weedy ravine off a busy two-lane highway connecting the sister cities of Fayetteville and Springdale, according the sheriff’s department account.

Taylor and the older man went off for a walk, leaving the 12-year-old and the teenager alone in the cab. In a statement to police, the 15-year-old said he removed his pants and admitted to having sex, revealing the encounter only after being pressed by investigators.

Moments later, he said he left and Taylor approached the truck, climbing on top of the girl. The girl let out a scream, according to the police report, and he claims to have seen Taylor hitching up his pants.

The victim, the boy reported, turned to both of them and yelled, “You all planned this, didn’t you?”

At 4:50 a.m., the girl walked into a local emergency room, badly shaken. The doctor’s report noted that she had injuries consistent with rape.

Taylor was a tight-lipped client, never wavering from his claim that he’d driven all the passengers home that night without stopping in the ravine, according to Dale Gibson. (Taylor was less guarded around his 15-year-old companion, who recalls the older man whispering “Let’s keep our stories straight” when the two met in county jail.)

    The Onion, just now:

WASHINGTON—Saying they felt physically sickened by the notion that the lewd and disturbing comments weren’t enough to draw harsh condemnation on their own, the daughters of the nation’s GOP leaders reportedly stated Sunday that it’s “pretty fucked up” if they are the only reason their fathers are denouncing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recently unearthed remarks about assaulting women. “Do you know how fucking twisted it is if you’re only speaking out about the Trump video because you watched it and then thought of us and only then realized these were unacceptable things to say? Are you fucking kidding me?” said the daughters of numerous leading Republican figures, including vice presidential nominee Mike Pence, Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell, Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida governor Jeb Bush, and Sen. John Cornyn, adding that you would have to be “a real piece of shit” to be okay with these statements otherwise. “So let me get this straight: You wouldn’t have recognized this was disgusting, criminal behavior before we were born or—oh, God—if we were your sons instead of your daughters? That’s even more fucking horrifying to think about. Jesus, Dad, you need to figure some shit out.” At press time, the daughters of GOP leaders were wondering why the fuck their fathers apparently hadn’t thought of them even once when denouncing women’s reproductive rights.

Rumor has it the Clinton campaign was planning a press conference with all the women Donald Trump has sexually harassed, but football stadiums were already booked for the weekend.

    @Trentrunner:

From what I’ve read, Brodderick has developed a severe case of HCDS. She seems more upset with Hillary than Bill which is weird given that all Hillary has ever done to her is shake her hand and thank her for her help, an action that even she has previously said she isn’t certain was actually meant as a threat.

Every Republican strategist/donor/etc. is currently reaching for the hardest liquor they can find.

I can’t remember who said it, but someone yesterday or Friday made reference to Kellyanne having three Virginia Slims going in the ashtray and mixing up a batch of “banana, vodka, and Xanax smoothies.” I laughed the first time I saw it, and I continue to laugh whenever I think of it. Because truth.

@dmsilev: Funny, this sounds somewhat like me with my older, Trump-supporting brother. Before this whole sex tape thing broke out, I was like, “would you seriously vote for a guy you wouldn’t trust alone in a room with either of your lovely daughters? Or *would* you trust him alone with them? Because I sure wouldn’t.”

But the Hildebeast is/was the worst, blah blah etc. I haven’t even contacted him about this stuff yet. Because if he can’t figure it out for himself, he never will.

They might comp you a bottle or two just out of sympathy.

Definitely worth a try. On one busted flight when they comped everyone’s parking and I complained that I was getting picked up at the airport the flight attendant gave me two double handfuls of Jack Daniels minis. Said she “I love giving this stuff away.”

@SFAW: That was intentional. I have no idea if she has been offered any money or if she’s taken it. But if Snopes is to be believed, she is in some financial straits, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Trump intended to exploit that. I have no idea about her character, but I am 100% sure I know all that I need to know about Trump’s.

That’s true, but video of the 4 Clinton Accusers being dragged out of the event by the Secret Service while screaming profanity and accusations at Hillary and Bill wouldn’t be good optics.

@Gin & Tonic: Sounds interesting. Not much of a Scotch drinker these days, altho’ I used to belong to a Scotch-tasting club and we took our single malt pretty seriously…nowadays I tend to favor Irish whiskies and bourbons over Scotch, and I pretty much only drink Scotch on my friend’s Robert Burns Night. Of course, that’s the only time I recite Bobbie Burns poetry, too.

Are you sure it’s not going to be wasted on this “debate”? You might want to save it for Election Night.

This is pure dominance: the gorilla beating his chest and screaming. He is intending to distract her strategies, to crush her confidence in herself and to attack the emotional support she gets from Bill. If it works, it’s a contemptible piece of genius, short term.

    IT WILL NOT WORK.

FOAD, which you obviously know, comes from a previous life in a big international engineering-construction company. The company culture skewed construction.

Thanks very much. Unfortunately, I stepped away from the screen, watched Corrupt Misogynist Deadbeat Donnie do his List O’ Bretibart thing, and killed a fifth [sic] of the cheapest rotgut I had. I can’t stand that fucker, can’t stand his lying, can’t stand his evil and vileness. It’s a lousy excuse to drink, but it was all I had.

And, in any event, that Bingo card looked more suited for the first debate. A custom-made-for-the-second-debate card would have had more things like “locker room talk” and “worst abuser in History Bill Clinton” type of squares.

But, as always, I truly appreciate your help.
