@efgoldman: Yeah, electric motors are much better at acceleration than internal combustion. They get full power all through the RPM range, not just at the high end.

Adam, that video you posted is nothing compared to this vid. A guy made a portable Tesla gun that shoots three foot lightning bolts you can actually touch. Then they recorded it at 28,000 FPS.

I got to take a trip in my friend’s Tesla last year. Sweet ride, and we even had a super-charger or two on the trip.
Electricity is in my veins, yo. My dad was an electrician, and I sure shocked him! Also, our son built his own Tesla coil for an art project in college. Plasma is purty.
