Since we now live in the era of social media and Trump, I have created this simple image for you all to put on your desktop and use when needed, which will be far too fucking often:
For those who continue to engage, here is some multimedia:
You are welcome.

Excellent! I should just cut and paste it, when I respond to every email about politics my Bernie sis friend sends. Oh and I found out that her husband voted for the man whose name begins with T.
SiubhanDuinne
Saved and bookmarked. I’ve mostly eliminated Trumpsters from my FB feeds (haven’t necessarily unfriended them, but have blocked most of them so their drivel and WRONGITUDE doesn’t show up on my wall) but this may come in handy from time to time.
I suspect there are a number of people I know who voted for Hillary, detest Trump, yet still feel the need to cooperate, collaborate, reach across the aisle, and “give him a chance.” Fuck that shit.

A friend recently said
It’s difficult to convince a smart person they are wrong, but it is *impossible* to convince a stupid person they are wrong
We will have to live with this …
magurakurin
@SiubhanDuinne: there won’t be many “let’s give him a chance” people left by March. I actually am feeling much better these days because this gang are incompetent boobs…from SG himself to Ryan to the Turtle and right on down to the lowliest staffer. This is going to be a shitshow of major proportions and no amount of media fluffing will be able to hide the foul stench or sight.
Mnemosyne
I know I need to stop trying to shove the trolls’ faces in the election poop they left, because they will never, ever be able to accept that the corrupt DNC! tack taken by a certain candidate in the primary severely damaged our party in the general election and is still causing problems right now.
Sigh. I will try not to take the bait anymore.

Just today the ACA is being lined up to be executed by Republican firing squad while trump began his plans to gut the CIA. So, this is how 2017 begins and civilization ends.
Ryan
What is so incredible about that clip is that, like The Donald, I immediately envision corndogs at the Iowa State Fair! Something about the lips I guess.
magurakurin
@donnah: except the GOP has no idea how to go about ending the ACA and they are starting to break ranks already…and publicly declaring you are going to war against the CIA before you even take office…not sure that is going to work out the way they think it will. Shit show.
Kathleen
@donnah: I was on a call tonight with Progress Ohio about the effort to repeal ACA and it was pretty interesting. They asked us to call Portman because they think he can be pressured to oppose a repeal. Here also is a link to a petition to Portman:

@magurakurin:
Mitch ain’t incompetent. He’s an evil cunning politician, whose sole goal in life is to remain Senate majority leader.
He may not have enough evil cunning in him to mitigate the damage the other boobs do in his party.

@donnah:
What is happening here? Did he announce something?
Iowa Old Lady
We spent the last few days visiting relatives and while we chatted about a lot of things, every conversation eventually ended with someone exclaiming in horror that Trump was elected. It was like we couldn’t get our minds to focus on anything else.
Ryan
@gene108: Oh, he has the 2020 Census coming up, he’s more than capable of fucking that up.

@Kathleen:

Congressman Who Helped Gut the Ethics Office Was Once Sued for Sexual Harassment
Photo of Texas Rep Blake Farenthold posing in pajamas next to a woman in lingerie is priceless

@gene108: but he can’t govern. None of them can, but there is no Democrat to do the work for them while they toss eggs and tomatoes. It’s all on them and they can’t do it. They. will. fuck. this. up. And not in a good way for them.

Jesus, there’s a real specimen of man flesh. And so many lapel pins he could be an Office Space extra, Nice flair!

@hilts:
What absolutely makes it is the eyeglasses shoved up on his hair.
He’s in PAJAMAS.
With DUCKS on them.
And his fucking EYEGLASSES are shoved up on his hair as though he’s a fucking blonde Dunwoody tennis mom with sunglasses.

@Yarrow: Here’s what came out a bit ago…

Cats as pinups
Jeffro
@Jeffro: It’s revolting what I had to listen to in order to get that link copied…Fox News just straight up reporting Trump’s accusations and nonsense (it wasn’t Russia…whoever it was, the DNC deserved it for unsecured computers, blah blah blah) as if it were gospel.
Blech.

Repeating from below.
Overflowing the swamp: Gee, look who’s been named Chief of Staff for V.P. in the upcoming (mal)administration. Shocked, shocked to find lobbyists being touted*.
No one in the MSM or blogland seems yet to have glommed on to how very many of Pence’s inner circle have been given White House spots by Carrot Flop, and not just in the veep’s office.
*Before getting noses out of joint, that sentence is snark.

@NotMax
Shall add as well a reminder that Conway came from Pence’s camp.

@efgoldman:
it’s not just ‘more people’ believe the agencies: everyone but Trump and the Trumpistas believes them. And all 17 of them agree with the assessment that Russia hacked the election, DNC, etc.
so as payback, Putin’s Puppet is going to “revamp” the CIA by cutting staff and sending some HQ folks out into the field. Whether this is at Putin’s request, or Bannon’s recommendation, who knows/doesn’t matter.
I can’t WAIT for the stuff the intelligence agencies are going to start supplying reporters with.

And let me just say – I feel pity for that young woman, getting groped by that fat, greasy, disgusting Jesus humping piece of shit.

@hilts:
He is the step-grandson of one of the great ladies of the Democratic Party, Sissy Farenthold. She’s over 90 now and probably not at all active any more, but she must cringe every day to know that she shares a surname with this POS.

@NotMax: Multiply that nonzero cost in finite resources of time, energy, etc. of such engagement by the thousands of bad-faith actors who will demand it precisely to cost you those resources, and you will understand why this approach is needed.

@SiubhanDuinne: And, from my recollections of the original uproar over this, those duck pajamas are sold on an adult baby fetish site. I did not link the site at the time and refuse to try to find it again.
In better news – first day on the new job went very well. Thanks so much for all the support here. Funny story. A guy got on the train after me, I wondered if it was one of the new co-workers I met. Huge bushy beard? Yes. Slicked down hair? Check. Plaid shirt? Yep. Work boots? Yes. Gold glitter nail polish? No. Not my co-worker, just some fucking hipster. Ha!!! I think I’m going to fit in here.
SiubhanDuinne
@Feathers:
Wonderful, I’m so glad! And funny story about your co-commuter.

@NotMax: I find Trump so preposterous that I have trouble taking him seriously or believing that anyone else does either. And yet we all have to. The man will have real power.

I could never do that. My admiration for Hillary continues to grow. I hope that once the niceties are observed, she will begin to be a voice for Planned Parenthood and speak out for liberal causes.

Here is a Twitter status that my sister sent to me that brought me great joy. I loved it so much that I *almost* felt the Bern.

@rikyrah:
He can’t do that, and even if he could, too many in his own party would oppose this.
hovercraft
@rikyrah:
Well they do insist on telling people that comrade Vlad helped get him elected, so obviously they are incompetent and corrupt. So how does our village of idiots react now that he is attacking one of the institutions they consider legitimate? Or is the they were wrong about 9/11 trope shut them up?
BillinGlendaleCA
@rikyrah: Trump gets all the information he needs from “the shows”, so why does he need a CIA?

I honestly think people argue on the internet to feel like they’ve accomplished something.

@Miss Bianca: Oddly, I saw it years ago and managed to stuff the image behind a dresser in one of the less used rooms in my mind palace. I don’t think I can forgive hilts for finding it and waving it around the main drawing room.

PRIVATIZING THE VA?
REPEALING DODD-FRANK?
THE MUSLIM REGISTRY?
SELLING OFF PUBLIC LANDS TO MINING AND FRACKING COMPANIES?
Just what do you have in common on those issues?

@O. Felix Culpa:
Nope.
Oh, perhaps you mean drinking heavily *after* seeing it?
Omnes Omnibus
@Miss Bianca: Definitely after.

@rikyrah: All they care about is keeping their jobs so to sell their influence.
I don’t expect very many to step forward, speak out, whether politicians, journalists, health workers, educators, or employees everywhere. The fear of losing one’s job, home, and health care has been used to manipulate us since at least Reagan.
Health care not linked to employment is a freedom they don’t want to bestow. Likewise, high unemployment and home loss convince people it’s safer to keep one’s head down. Might not get another job. If there’s family to support, better not risk it. Obama’s achievements represent more freedom to dissent.

Here’s a start: “Smart isn’t never being wrong. Smart is always trying to know the truth, even if it means sometimes admitting that you have been wrong. And smart people find that admitting this gets easier over time, and ends up giving us a clearer path to the truth.”

Barney Frank put those sentiments to words during the health care town halls

Finding it hard to believe there are people here so blinded by their love for all things Clinton that they would blame Sandera for her loss in the general.
Pro tip;
1) don’t nominate the second least popular candidate for the presidency, and expect to win.
2) when you lose, see #1.
