Excellent! I should just cut and paste it, when I respond to every email about politics my Bernie sis friend sends. Oh and I found out that her husband voted for the man whose name begins with T.

Saved and bookmarked. I’ve mostly eliminated Trumpsters from my FB feeds (haven’t necessarily unfriended them, but have blocked most of them so their drivel and WRONGITUDE doesn’t show up on my wall) but this may come in handy from time to time.

I suspect there are a number of people I know who voted for Hillary, detest Trump, yet still feel the need to cooperate, collaborate, reach across the aisle, and “give him a chance.” Fuck that shit.

@SiubhanDuinne: there won’t be many “let’s give him a chance” people left by March. I actually am feeling much better these days because this gang are incompetent boobs…from SG himself to Ryan to the Turtle and right on down to the lowliest staffer. This is going to be a shitshow of major proportions and no amount of media fluffing will be able to hide the foul stench or sight.

I know I need to stop trying to shove the trolls’ faces in the election poop they left, because they will never, ever be able to accept that the corrupt DNC! tack taken by a certain candidate in the primary severely damaged our party in the general election and is still causing problems right now.

Sigh. I will try not to take the bait anymore.

Just today the ACA is being lined up to be executed by Republican firing squad while trump began his plans to gut the CIA. So, this is how 2017 begins and civilization ends.

Upcoming art exhibit in the NYC metro area for anyone opposed to Trump:

    Nasty Women

    When: Exhibition Runs January 12 -15, 2017

Where: The Knockdown Center, 52-19 Flushing Ave Maspeth, Queens, NYC

    Phone: (347) 915-5615

    Opening: Thursday, January 12 7-10PM

This is a group exhibition that serves to demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify with being a Nasty Woman in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, and abortion rights. It also serves as a fundraiser to support organizations defending these rights and to be a platform for organization before the Trump Presidential Inauguration in January.

Started by Roxanne Jackson and Jessamyn Fiore with a facebook post that read:

Hello female artists/curators! Lets organize a NASTY WOMEN group show!!! Who’s interested???

The massive response has taken this call to arms into building an ever-expanding network of Nasty Women Artists & Art Organizers that will culminate in multiple exhibitions. Please visit Other Nasty Venues for more details on organizing an exhibition in your city.

Story on Alternet claims that 50 Trump electors weren’t eligible:

More than 50 Electoral College members who voted for Donald Trump were ineligible to serve as presisential [sic] electors because they did not live in the congressional district they represented or they held elective office in states legally barring dual officeholders.

That stunning finding is among the conclusions of an extensive 1,000-plus page legal briefing prepared by a bipartisan nationwide legal team for members of Congress who are being urged to object to certifying the 2016 Electoral College results on Friday.

This seems far too convenient – I wonder if there is any there, there…

This is what decent people do — put country first. “Former President Bill Clinton and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration later this month, aides to both Clintons told CNN on Tuesday. Former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush will also attend, the 43rd president’s office said in a statement Tuesday.”

As GOP lawmakers begin the process of repealing President Obama’s landmark legislation, it’s worth taking a look at the eight times Trump has changed his position on Obamacare since announcing his bid for president more than a year and a half ago.

These recalculations and shifts aren’t unusual for Trump – he took 141 positions on 23 major issues during his run, and has taken 15 new stances on nine issues since being elected – but it is a particularly illustrative shift in the differences between the rhetoric of a candidate and a leader faced with the realities of governance.

@rikyrah: All they care about is keeping their jobs so to sell their influence.

I don’t expect very many to step forward, speak out, whether politicians, journalists, health workers, educators, or employees everywhere. The fear of losing one’s job, home, and health care has been used to manipulate us since at least Reagan.

Health care not linked to employment is a freedom they don’t want to bestow. Likewise, high unemployment and home loss convince people it’s safer to keep one’s head down. Might not get another job. If there’s family to support, better not risk it. Obama’s achievements represent more freedom to dissent.
