This is just stunning:

More on the project here.
In other news, I just had fiber optics installed (1 GBps) yesterday – it’s a city owned project 6 years in the making. $50 a month (for life, supposedly). Comcast is running scared and dropping their prices, but still couldn’t get rid of them fast enough.
ETA: While I was typing this, looks like there was a shooting in London at the Parliament.
Follow here (for some reason it won’t allow me to embed twitter live feed anymore – Alain?)

Democrats have to push hard on Trump breaking his promise not to touch Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Create a narrative and keep hammering. The Republicans realized years ago that a lot of people are stupid and need catch phrases to pay attention (Gingrich’s contract for America, make America great again – they are idiotic but they work). Tag Trump as a serial liar and keep repeating it.
Horrible happenings in London, looks like several casualties on that bridge.
I HATE that my first response is, this will help Trump.
@zhena gogolia: Depends on who the assailant was and their motive, if they had one. So far I haven’t heard anything about that, only that police shot him dead.
@zhena gogolia: I hate that my first response is to wonder whether Putin had a hand in this.
@tobie: What doesn’t he have a hand in?
Guardian: What we know so far
There have been two serious incidents near the British parliament.
A police officer has been stabbed in the Houses of Parliament in central London, Commons Leader David Lidington has said.
The alleged assailant was shot by armed police following a “serious” incident.
There are further reports of a car driving into a number of people on Westminster Bridge, before driving into the railings of the Palace of Westminster.
According to reports as many as 12 people could have been involved. People are being treated at the scene.
Westminster is currently in lockdown with MPs told to remain in the main chamber or in their offices.
Scotland Yard said it was called to a firearms incident on Westminster Bridge amid reports of several people injured.
Transport for London said Westminster underground station has been shut at the police’s request.
@zhena gogolia: You can bet your boots that was Trump’s first thought — saw on Twitter that he was crowing about “big news” from London to WH reporters.
@zhena gogolia: A “bobby-involved shooting”?
Our Secretary Of State didn’t even want the job:
He’s just waiting, waiting for a thrill shiver; an attack he can blame on the negligence of his opponents.
Imagine the death toll if the Brits had semi-automatic large capacity magazine FREEDOM.
@germy: He’s just waiting, waiting for a thrill shiver; an attack he can blame on the negligence of his opponents.
I thought the UK was on Trump’s good list.
@SenyorDave: Nobody but ivankka is on his “good” list.
NextLight is amazing. Kind of frustrating it took so long to get it (I got it a couple months ago). The redirect to Clover Basin killed the whole project plan.
Major Major Major Major
@germy: stars, they’re just like us.
Fictive? Is that a word, shouldn’t it be fictitious.
@germy: What, are they in a Fifties TV show?
So trumpp is following through on his promise to create jobs
@schrodingers_cat: Merriam definition

@BillCinSD: Thanks, I learned something new.
@TaMara (HFG): What I said in #24.
@schrodingers_cat: You actually asked if it was a word…I answered. ???
@TaMara (HFG): And I thanked you. I saw your comment after BillCinSD’s comment and I was too lazy to retype.
Thanks, I learned something I did not know.
