On the Road is a weekday feature spotlighting reader photo submissions.
From the exotic to the familiar, whether you’re traveling or in your own backyard, we would love to see the world through your eyes.
Good Morning All,
This weekday feature is for Balloon Juicers who are on the road, travelling, etc. and wish to share notes, links, pictures, stories, etc. from their escapades. As the US mainland begins the end of the Earth day as we measure it, many of us rise to read about our friends and their transient locales.
So, please, speak up and share some of your adventures, observations, and sights as you explore, no matter where you are. By concentrating travel updates here, it’s easier for all to keep up-to-date on the adventures of our fellow Commentariat. And it makes finding some travel tips or ideas from 6 months ago so much easier to find…
Have at ’em, and have a safe day of travels!
Should you have any pictures (tasteful, relevant, etc….) you can email them to [email protected] or just use this nifty link to start an email: Start an Email to send a Picture to Post on Balloon Juice

Awe, No pictures??
Alain the site fixer
Apparently I was fat fingered and put the pix in tomorrow’s post. My bad, was rushed and clearly edited the wrong day’s post!
OzarkHillbilly
No pics again. :-(
Alright alright already. I’ll send you some pics.

@Alain the site fixer: Opps, I thought I sent you some pics. Then again your requirements include “tasteful”, and some were from the Nixon Library.

Also too, the kid and I may go hiking this weekend; I might have some really good stuff after that.

Well, I’m on the road to the ATL. Got up at 5, left at 5:30. Got here at 7:30, opened my email and the boss cancelled my meeting! Whoo hoo!

Lets see if I can post this picture of the new football stadium

I have to get my pictures together and send Alain a couple. I was in the Inland Empire last weekend. That’s the eastern part of the LA megalopolis, mostly Riverside County. I think that is a name made up by a real estate developer. I was there for an orienteering competition. held at a Girl Scout camp near Idyllwild, in the San Jacinto Mountains. I did some sightseeing, too, and went to Disneyland. The mountains were spectacular, if you like desert (I do.)
Elizabelle
I love Idyllwild.
And love the palms to the pines highway, that takes you from Idyllwild to Palm Springs. Good drive.
Elizabelle
@Raven: That’ll teach you to be punctual!

I’m heading out to lovely and picturesque Brea (CA) this weekend for a writer’s conference. Woo?
