    I know we have a wide range of talented folks in the BJ community. Would any of you be audio experts? Preferably in fixing shite audio via Audition or Premiere? Because I would really like to close this project out and the very expensive vendor that was hired by someone not me turned in footage with audio that sounds like a tin recording in a windstorm.     @ruemara: Amateur recordist here, not a professional, but I’ve done lots of audio restoration on my old open reel and 4 track cassette tapes using an older version of Audition. From the description of your audio, ie “a tin recording in a windstorm”, you might try some careful Noise Reduction to get rid of the windstorm, the trade-off being further degradation of the tinny audio, then maybe trying some EQ to boost the audio you want to keep. Or the other way around, it depends. I know this is pretty basic stuff, (don’t know how much you already know), but Audition has always had great help sections, and noise reduction and EQ tools.

    ETA, But to be honest, fixing “a tin recording in a windstorm” ain’t easy. Kinda like trying to get rid of distortion. Also, there are great plug-ins out there, both free and commercial that you might try.
