I stayed up late long enough (adrenaline from the Pens game and a late afternoon nap are to blame) for Steve to decide that he needs to be fed. Now.
He now has my arm pinned down and is slowly retracting and releasing his claws into my chest, going a touch deeper each time.

He is a handsome cat. He will be handsomerer when his furs grow back.
Ian
You could always lock him in the pink room.
AdamC
Steve looks a bit like a Steiff.
TriassicSands
He’s just kneading. Normal cat behavior when they’re content. Steve is just behaving like virtually every other cat. Yawn.
SiubhanDuinne
He is a gorgeous cat.
I just woke up shouting from a nightmare and now I am afraid to go back to sleep. But sleep I must.
Betty Cracker
I like Steve’s ear-tufts. He’s a very handsome fellow.

That ears-back position means trouble. You might want to give me a bit of someone. I assume you’re going to have to include Lily, Rosie and Thurston too.

@SiubhanDuinne: I had one last night, that some new snotty neighbors, younger and seeming to have a lot of money, had torn out all of my garden beds and fruit trees so they could park their expensive car in that space. The car wasn’t that big but they had cut and thrown out every shrub and tree, thrown away the structures including the greenhouse, and dumped out all of the soil in those beds. I’ve been chased by scary things in my dreams but this one just left me gasping and desolate when I woke up. They’d even gotten my cat out of the house and done something with her.

@opiejeanne: Now that’s a nightmare. And the beginnings of a screenplay.
Talk about the subconscious doing some processing.

It is 3:30pm in the afternoon in Shanghai, and it is a gorgeous day out – 80 degrees, light breeze, and (shockingly) clear blue skies. Ate two delicious meals filled with wonton soup and soup dumplings. Life is good.
Betty Cracker
@PsiFighter37: Never been there, but I’ve heard good things about it. Have fun!
westyny
He looks just like my irreplaceable Bimbo (ex-girlfriend named her not me), that is, when his fur grows back. Same face. Eerie. The love of my life. Maine coon, tabby mix. Friends would come over just to visit her.

@Betty Cracker: I was informed last weekend that the wife and kid are going to Korea next year, if it’s still there.

Cole, isn’t it nice to feel kneaded?
Comrade Colette Collaboratrice
@PsiFighter37: Yer killin’ me. I stayed up too late and my dinner wore off and now I’m stomach-rumbling hungry, but I don’t want to get up.

@?BillinGlendaleCA: Hopefully it will! I’ve never been to Korea, but my globetrotting sister says Seoul is cool.
?BillinGlendaleCA
@Betty Cracker: I’ve been to Korea 3 times, the wife grew up in Seoul. It’s a bit different than when she was growing up there. The kid’s been there once, but she was 2 and doesn’t remember it.

I had a beautiful Maine Coon named Fredo who looked exactly like Steve. I miss that guy.
Don’t know when it started, but I occasionally jolt out of a good sleep because I’ve literally dreamt up a solution to a hairy work problem and have to write it down immediately or I’ll forget. Started a new job last month…they needed my skill set badly and I’ve been jolted awake more than a few times recently. Fortunately, I can typically get back to sleep after I’m done jotting stuff down.
Peace…hope y’all nightmare people can get back to sleep.
Jeff
I had one cat who would either grab a mouthful of my hair and pull or use one claw to drag it lightly across my cheek when he was ready to eat in the morning if I slept too late for him.
Sis
Somebody has a very handsome profile! Even taking the attitude into account, he seems remarkably laid back about his striking good looks.
PaulWartenberg
my cats are patient creatures. the only time they will insist on me feeding them is when I come home from work. they will let me roll out of bed on my own time, and there have been days I’ve slept in where they didn’t try to wake me earlier.
Jack the Cold Warrior
When he decided it was breakfast time, our BJ cat (All black semi longhair with a small Nike swoosh on his chest) would get on your chest and put one paw out and knead, escalating to ONE claw lightly touching the skin.
If that failed– ever had a cat whisker shoved up your nose? Can’t be ignored!!!!

@?BillinGlendaleCA: My friend lives in Geoge, southern Korea near the islands. She loves it and the scenery – mountains and sea – is just spectacular. Lots of walks through the hills that end in little Buddhist shrines.
