The Preds got the result that their effort deserved in Game 3 unlike in Game 1 and 2. The Penguins need to create more traffic and chaos in front of the net and not be stupid off the puck.

This really feels like a first or second round series. Little skill on display, relatively little passion on either side, the goaltending has been meh. And then there are all the dead catfish flung onto the ice. If Nashville wanted to aim for cow-town charm, why not just fling dead cats instead?

Penguins still missing on most of their stretch passes, really hobbling their speed game. I’m sure a lot of this is good Preds defense, but still seeing a lot of plain old missed passes. And at this point in the playoff marathon/death march, both teams have to be fighting fatigue.

@smintheus: I can’t believe these guys are still skating. They’ve been flying and skating and practicing nonstop since September in a brutal game that has a brutal schedule. Bettman is such a fool he has back-to-back games for teams that have to race to an arena 2,000 miles away in a nanosecond. The absurdity of the amount of nonrivally games (teams 3,800-miles apart) is absurd and cruel.

@SenyorDave: As I’ve watched more women’s hockey, with no-check rules, it’s changed the way I watch men’s hockey. There are so many times that the men go to hit someone, and it’s the wrong play. They’ve stopped focusing on the puck, and allow chances that they wouldn’t if they played defense right.
