Alright! Another day that Cole didn’t get eated by a cat, another day we have this wonderful blog! Although I’m sure the community could pony up to pay for the server if he were to get eated by a cat.

I’m not convinced this isn’t a bot. We need puppy pix with today’s newspaper.
I’ll need to see more than a Barry Manilow embed with no text before I’ll believe it. Steve might have jumped on the keyboard and triggered the post – or maybe he learned to type after eating Cole’s brain. Zombies do that now, why not cats?

I played the video he posted below and Julian went nuts trying to find the “new” cat. I may have done it a few times.

So Big Kiki spared you . . . . this time.
Here’s hoping you’ve learned an important lesson about provisioning so this doesn’t happen again.
That fancy new trunk could probably hold enough fancy specialty slim chow and cans of pumpkin to avoid any future breakfast unpleasantness.
Just sayin’

@satby: Never apologize for playing the music you like. Not even Barry Manilow and not even The Carpenters.
She was feeding one of the worst to her dog and it was causing kidney failure.

My wife bought me some black and dark blue tee-shirts. As is the fashion with these newer shirts, it’s difficult to tell the front of the shirts from the back, because the brand labels are printed in fine letters on the shirts, rather than on a tag.
I can now tell immediately which is the front of the shirt, because of the cat claw holes.
A little context next time, please? I thought Manilow had died and you were making a comment on the current state of the world with your song choice.
Also, can I just say that I love that one of Manilow’s signature songs is “I Write the Songs,” a song he did not, in fact, write? Manilow was meta before meta was.
And I never judge other people’s musical taste because I had both of Asia’s first two albums on LP.

@Kay Eye:
Karen Carpenter’s singing voice was legendary, and the Carpenters’ music is worth listening to for that alone. As a drummer, she also had the chops to impress the jazz legend Buddy Rich, and she could have been a legend on that instrument too; but her brother Richard decided he needed her at the front of the stage, rather than sat at a drum kit at the back.
this is not proof. for all we know Steve killed him, ate his brains, and learned how to Intertube.

@Kay Eye: I think the Carpenters are great, actually. There was a really good tribute album out in the early 1990s, If I Were a Carpenter and I remember one of the reviews of it mentioned how it really did remind you what a great producer/arranger Richard Carpenter was- it wasn’t all Karen’s golden throat. Sonic Youth’s cover of “Superstar” on it was AWESOME.
It took me a few minutes to figure out how the exact same line of food from the exact same company could simultaneously be on the “best” and “worst” lists. It’s the heavy metals in fish.

Highly rec Chewy. com for pet food. They have good selection – including special diet foods – excellent prices, and free shipping that usually arrives the next day. Staying supplied with cat food, treats, and litter is now just easy clicking, not a chore.

Fake post. Just about everything is fake now.

Thanks for this. Just found out I have to change the little rat’s dog food back to what we used to give him – 5 stars compared to the current kibble’s 3 stars.

@MazeDancer: I get my Glycoflex supplements from them and they are great! I may have to check out some of these cleanlabel foods and see if they have them!

@Amir Khalid: Perfect pitch is amazing and her tone was liquid [email protected]Nicole: we love that recording too! Agree that Richard was a good arranger, but jeez, what a pillburt.
@SWMBO: I’ve been using dogfoodadvisor.com. Both show I and Love and You to be excellent, which I found surprising given that I can buy it in a supermarket. Iggy and Muppet like it, though, and it’s easy to find, so I’m not complaining.

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl…
Always thought there was the possibility of a pretty entertaining musical to be made based on that song.

In the 1970s we saw Bette Midler at the Hollywood Bowl. About halfway thru, she took a break, announcing that her music director was going to sing a couple of his very own songs while she was off. I listened to both, then turned to my husband and said, “This guy will never make it in show biz. He has no talent.”
Of course, it was Barry Manilow — so I was half right! YMMV, I guess.

Glad that all is well at Casa Cole.

Steve does not play. You need to be more careful, John…… If he ever could pull off a plot you truly are a goner.

Yeah, but do people do his stuff on karaoke? They do not.

I think he really needed to go with that little ditty from the end of the Poseidon Adventure.
“The Morning After” captures the mood appropriately, and Maureen McGovern has a lovely voice.
