Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Prediction: the gop will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

Every one of the “Roberts Six” lied to get on the court.

Baby steps, because the Republican Party is full of angry babies.

Let there be snark.

Republicans don’t lie to be believed, they lie to be repeated.

There are times when telling just part of the truth is effectively a lie.

A tremendous foreign policy asset… to all of our adversaries.

Some judge needs to shut this circus down soon.

“Everybody’s entitled to be an idiot.”

They want us to be overwhelmed and exhausted. Focus. Resist. Oppose.

Putin must be throwing ketchup at the walls.

One way or another, he’s a liar.

Imperialist aggressors must be defeated, or the whole world loses.

There is no compromise when it comes to body autonomy. You either have it or you do not.

If you still can’t see these things even now, maybe politics isn’t your forte and you should stop writing about it.

She burned that motherfucker down, and I am so here for it. Thank you, Caroline Kennedy.

If a good thing happens for a bad reason, it’s still a good thing.

Every decision we make has lots of baggage with it, known or unknown.

One of our two political parties is a cult whose leader admires Vladimir Putin.

Bad people in a position to do bad things will do bad things because they are bad people. End of story.

It’s easy to sit in safety and prescribe what other people should be doing.

People really shouldn’t expect the government to help after they watched the GOP drown it in a bathtub.

In after Baud. Damn.

Republicans don’t want a speaker to lead them; they want a hostage.

@Central Planning: Yes, he checked in with good news – he was out of surgery and about to nap while still on happy pills. Biopsy results in a week or so.

National news story…people over 65 are the most gullible age group for telephone scammers and are the most likely to fall for the scam. Real news…Republican operatives have known this for generations.

    A Ghost to Most

    July 17, 2017 at 9:01 pm

Two more Senate Republicans announced that they will vote against the Senate’s health care bill. Republican Senators Mike Lee and Jerry Moran will vote against the bill, joining colleagues Susan Collins and Rand Paul. Their votes are enough to kill the bill in its current form. “This closed-door process has yielded the [bill], which fails to repeal the Affordable Care Act or address healthcare’s rising costs,” Moran said in a Monday night statement. “For the same reasons I could not support the previous version of this bill, I cannot support this one.”

Probably a safe bet that this is the profile for Jay Sekulow’s charity contributors. Oh yeah, white, over 65, and Christian.
