.

But, to be serious: Dana Houle, former & future campaign professional, has been pointing out for some time that Trump is not the one tapping out at least some of “his” tweets — certainly not the ones that use proper capitalization and sentence structure:

“House votes on controversial FISA ACT today.” This is the act that may have been used, with the help of the discredited and phony Dossier, to so badly surveil and abuse the Trump Campaign by the previous administration and others?

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 11, 2018

Journalists need to stop playing along. Trump isn’t doing these tweets, at least not by himself. We need to know who tweets for him, how much he’s involved, process for vetting, who determines what’s tweeted, whether anyone is freelancing, who they coordinate with at Fox, etc. https://t.co/gt844ggex8

— Dana Houle (@DanaHoule) January 11, 2018

Sure, Lord Smallgloves no doubt could be brought to agree with whatever the current ‘John Barron’ or ‘Meredith McGiver’ are sending out under his name, but getting his scripters’ names on the public record would, IMO, be an important step towards ending the pretense that the ugly, racist, conspiratorial blasts are just ‘he’s senile so impulsive, he’s not used to politics’ rather than ‘This is your modern Republican party, folks’!

The contents of the coherent tweets are just as much self-serving fantasies as the incoherent tweets.

Georgia Bulldogs senior running back Sony Michel recently sat down for an interview with CBS Sports to discuss his journey to Athens. Michel, who was ranked as the 247Sports Composite No. 20 overall player in the class of 2014, was born in Florida. However, his parents immigrated from Haiti in search of opportunity. Michel said it was like starting from “ground zero.” But now, the senior is likely on the verge of being one of the first running backs taken in the 2018 NFL Draft.

We walked with Sony’s family for a bit after the Rose Bowl. We just expressed our admiration and respect for him and the family.

Savannah’s Haitian Monument commemorates the contribution of the Chasseurs-Volontaires de Saint-Domingue to the fight for an independent America. One of the few black regiments to fight for the American side in the Revolutionary War, the soldiers were recruited from present-day Haiti, then the French colony of Saint-Domingue.

From Trump’s interview with the WSJ

    There’s a lot of—there’s a lot of—there’s a big difference—first of all, there’s a big difference between DACA and Dreamers, OK?
Dreamers are different. And I want American kids to be Dreamers also, by the way. I want American kids to be Dreamers also.
But there’s a big difference between DACA and Dreamers. And a lot of times when I was with certain Democrats they kept using the word dreamer. I said, “Please, use the word DACA.” You know it’s a totally different word.

I wish I were making that up

OK, stay close to your fainting couches. The Trump administration did something right for once. My housemate, whose green card expired last year, applied for a renewal in March and did the appointment with fingerprints, etc. in early April, when they gave him an extension to December 31. The website said it would take about six months, so all seemed fine. In November we requested a status and got back an email basically saying “we’ll take as long as we want, so DIAF.”

At the end of the year, he was concerned so he went to the office. They told him that they can’t give another extension, but to bring in his passport and they would mark it there that he was OK to stay. I was afraid if he did that, he would find himself on a plane to Guatemala. People on here told me to tell him to get a lawyer. I did, and offered to pay for it. I also offered to write a letter and ask his regular clients, who are all pretty much Republican if not open Twitler supporters, to do the same. His wife and her family also chimed in. He has speeding tickets and possibly a bit of an arrest record, he’s a bit vague about it, he was definitely not charged with anything.

He’s a stubborn cuss and ignored us all and went in with his passport Monday, where they gave him a year’s visa to stay and said it’s taking about a year to renew a green card now, but he should be fine. Relief all around.

The country has ignored worse from President Shithole. Calling someone ‘Pocahontas’ is an out-and-out ethnic slur. I think Wolff’s book has made a lot of national journalists feel a little more comfortable admitting the Emperor has no clothes. Or maybe it’s just that every time he does something like this, a few more people notice.

The president calling #Haiti a "shithole country" ignores the contributions thousands of Haitians have made to our #SoFla community and nation. Language like that shouldn't be heard in locker rooms and it shouldn't be heard in the White House

Well, one Republican congressperson has called him out, and will in consequence probably be primaried and lose her seat.

GOP Rep. Mia Love demands that Trump apologize for his 'shithole' comments, which she says "are unkind, divisive, elitist, and fly in the face of our nation’s values. This behavior is unacceptable from the leader of our nation. My parents came from one of those countries…"— Manu Raju (@mkraju) January 11, 2018

I’d more impressed if she’d actually said the word “racist” in there.

ETA: the full statement is in the picture embedded in this tweet of hers:

Here is my statement on the President’s comments today: pic.twitter.com/EdtsFjc2zL— Rep. Mia Love (@RepMiaLove) January 11, 2018

She does demand an apology from Twitler, which is impressive.

Donald Trump dont’ give two shits about Mia Love. Her and Tim Scott, are just the token chocolate faces to give GOP “diversity” cover. And they BOTH seem to be perfectly okay doing so. And they vote with the racist nearly 100 % of the time.
