Western NY Meet-Ups — Rochester *and* Buffalo

Commentor Dog Mom, following up on Friday’s meet-up post:

In regards to Western NY meet ups, the suggestions are:

Rochester – Tap and Mallet (South Wedge) – Wednesday, March 28 – 5:30

Buffalo – Founding Fathers – Wednesday, April 4 – 5:30

Barring crazy weather or crazy life, I plan to go to both. Don’t feel limited by geography if you are able to make one or the other or even both.

It would be good to have a count of folks, so that we have an idea who to look for. I will confirm we are coming with the Pubs prior to those dates.

    Dammit. I’m away on business for the first one, and the second one the kids are on break so I probably won’t get to Buffalo.

    Going to make a big effort to skip out of work early and get to the Buffalo meet-up as well.

    Regarding Founding Fathers in Buffalo: Groucho48 tells me that nearby parking is limited – be prepared to walk a bit.

    Will definitely be going to Buffalo, most likely with my SO, and am hoping to make Rochester as well. Can’t wait to meet some politically like-minded folks!
    Groucho48 is correct–street parking on Delaware Ave. is probably the best bet. Pretty sure the meters are only until 5 or 6pm.

    The Fucking DR OZ show is on the TV, The Fucking Dr Oz show, in a radiological treatment facility.

    My God.

    @The Pale Scot: I think that any kind of medical show or in the case of Dr. Oz any quasi medical show or quackery should be banned from any hospital or Doctor’s office waiting room. Just before a surgery I had there was a television show on in the pre-op area discussing medical mistakes in the US.

    I may make it to the Buffalo meet up.

    I’m planning on being at the Buffalo meet. Looking forward to it. If it goes well, they have a Trivia night once a month on a Tuesday. Mostly history and geography. Wouldn’t be surprised if a BJ team would fare pretty well.
