    Hey, did you guys see the report that the tree that Trump and Macron planted on the White House lawn has vanished?

    It’s GONE!

    White House is not commenting, though some are speculating that the tree has been moved to a greenhouse for quarantine and will be replanted in the more appropriate fall.

    Well…. maybe. No doubt there is utterly no truth to the rumor that the night after Macron’s speech to Congress, the Secret Service were alarmed to discover that Trump was missing from the Residence. That they finally found him out on the lawn in his pjs, squatting over the hole where he’d uprooted the tree with his bare hands, and that he was found gnawing on the trunk while growling like some sort of wereboar. Probably no truth to that at all.

    The Conway bit was probably the smartest joke-writing in the whole thing, but her delivery suffered a bit. But as with Colbert, you have to give her credit for keeping professional in a hostile room.
