Earlier today CNN viewers got to witness Rudy Giuliani attempting to explain and clarify to Chris Cuomo that what Rudy Giuliani had said to someone else was not what Rudy Giuliani actually said. Then Cuomo played a clip of Rudy Giuliani telling Charlie Rose something different and then another clip of Rudy Giuliani contradicting what Rudy Giuliani told Charlie Rose in an interview with George Stephanapolous. At which point Rudy Giuliani start screaming at Chris Cuomo. So that was a quatro-Guiliani appearance!
Just to make sure everyone is tracking:
- Rudy Giuliani is on Chris Cuomo’s CNN show explaining that what Cuomo understands Rudy Giuliani said on a different cable show is not accurate.
- Chris Cuomo then plays a clip of Rudy Giuliani explaining to Charlie Rose in 1998 that a sitting president, in this case President Clinton, is not above the law and is subject to a Federal grand jury subpoena.
- Chris Cuomo then plays a clip of Rudy Giuliani contradicting Rudy Giuliani by explaining to George Stephanapolous that a sitting president, in this case the current President, is above the law and not subject to a Federal grand jury subpoena.
- Rudy Giuliani then freaks out and starts screaming at Chris Cuomo that it is unfair to ambush Rudy Giuliani with one video of Rudy Giuliani contradicting Rudy Giuliani and then a second video of Rudy Giuliani contradicting Rudy Giuliani.
I’m still working the theoretical explanation out in this brave new world and emerging area of inquiry into multiple Rudys Giuliani or Rudy Giulianis (Rudys Giulianis?). I’m not sure if this is a purely infinite number of Rudy sort of thing – the InfiniRudy – or if there us a hard limit. Say DC Comics 52 parallel universes in the multiverse. That, of course, would include the Earth-3 universe where Rudy would be a quiet, pleasant, highly competent individual and Special Counsel Mueller would be an obnoxious, ignorant, raving blowhard.
I need to order more white boards from Amazon!
Play nice or a Rudy Giuliani will come over to your house and explain to you that what Rudy Giuliani said on a cable news show or to a reporter doesn’t mean what you think Rudy Giuliani meant when Rudy Giuliani said it.

BREAKING: The FBI is illegally leaking to Team Trump once again—just as it did pre-election. Giuliani told CNN he heard from people “gone from the FBI” that the FBI had two Trump campaign sources. This looks to be the *same* FBI-to-ex-FBI leak chain Giuliani used in October 2016.

Adam, as a trained and certified quantum mechanic, I’m here to help. You see, Rudy is a manifestation of a quantum chaotic system, where well-defined positions are almost by definition unstable and change essentially randomly on a microsecond timescale. There are ways of overcoming this issue; we need to start by cooling Rudy down to 100 nK via high-vacuum laser-trap systems, polarizing his spin with a large magnetic field, and finally watching that spin evolve after kicking it with a strong microwave pulse.
We have the technology.

Meghan Markle Did Ask Doria Ragland To Walk Her Down The Aisle, Claims Royal ExpertMeghan Markle Did Ask Doria Ragland To Walk Her Down The Aisle, Claims Royal Expert
18/05/2018
Although many royal fans predicted (and secretly hoped) that Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland would walk Meghan down the aisle in the absence of her father Thomas, it was the pressure of performing the duty in front of millions of people and the media scrutiny which ultimately deterred them, according to a royal expert.
Given the intense scrutiny Thomas has been subjected to over the past few weeks, it’s completely understandable that Meghan and Doria decided against it.
It’s also claimed that it was Prince Harry who suggested that his father Prince Charles step in because of his experience of royal events which he hopes will put Meghan at ease.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar UK, royal journalist Larcombe divulged: ‘I’m told that it was Harry who suggested asking his father if he would step into the breach.
‘Doria and Meghan discussed it but she just didn’t feel she could go through with it. According to the guidence I’ve been given, Meghan felt that it would be too much to expect her mother to perform such an important role when more than one billion people are expected to be watching.’
Discussing the advantages of Prince Charles giving her away – such as his calming influence – Larcombe continued: ‘There are few people on the planet who are more experienced than Prince Charles when it comes to set piece events like this.

My theory is that Rudy Giuliani is an early model replicant. Only able to live for 2 years before termination to ensure he doesn’t develop any emotions, the Giuliani motor-neural system is copied and placed into a new Giuliani host body. Unfortunately, the motor-neural system, being analog cannot be perfectly copied and therefore it degrades a few percent in each iteration. The current model is at least 15 generations removed from the 1988 Giuliani model. With a 5% degradation with each generation, the current Giuliani retains no more than 46% of the 1988 model, and who knows how many generations existed prior to 1988.
Trump and Gingrich are similar model replicants. You see, they were never unfaithful to their spouses, those affairs and divorces are simply the byproduct of a new model coming on line not fully aware of what the previous iteration had agreed to. The whole sphere of clone/replicant contract law is going to be hot, I tell you.

Prince Charles to walk Meghan Markle down the aisle
Lainey
Posted by Lainey 12: AM May 18, 2018
Royal wedding week did not get off to a good start with all the Thomas Markle drama. But, as I’ve been saying, the royals know how to carry on…and put on a show. And did they ever turn it around this morning. At around 10am local time here in England, so as to properly dominate the entire day, Kensington Palace released this statement:
I was hoping that Meghan would walk down the aisle herself but from a strategic maneuver perspective, this is game-changer. Nobody’s talking about the Thomas Markle Zone anymore. And just like that, the royal family has snatched back control of this party. It’s a bonus for all players.
For Meghan Markle, this is a major show of support from the family she’ll be joining. She’s American, she’s a commoner, she’s divorced, and she’s got a lot of rogue relatives – you know how uppity aristocrats can be and you know there was some judging happening, even before all this sh-t with Thomas Markle and Samantha Markle went down. Now she’s not only marrying the most popular prince of England, the FUTURE KING OF ENGLAND will be greeting her in St George’s Chapel and PERSONALLY HANDING HER OFF TO HIS SON. It’s a big ass seal of approval. It’s a big ass f-cking deal.
But the biggest winner out of all of this may be…the Prince of Wales himself. Who everyone now sees as the one who has stepped in to save the day and turn a sh-tshow into a brand new story.

The workers at the supermarket were talking to each other about how that was it, no more clotted cream in the back. In the checkout line a woman ahead of me was talking to her friend about how she wanted to get clotted cream but they were out. I think this is not only a show of support for Harry and Meghan, it’s a sign of a confident and modern shift in the monarchy. Harry is probably the most popular royal and has been open about his mental health struggles. And every time I’ve seen him with Queen Elizabeth, you can see the sparkle in her eye that she has for Harry. He has inherited the Prince Philip swagger and charm. I’m not surprised Elizabeth wants to see him happy. She’s going to do everything in her considerable power to make it so.

I feel like saying that I can’t believe how fucking stupid these people are. And some of them are indeed cataclysmically stupid. But this shit show here, I think Giuliani knows what he’s doing. He doesn’t give a shit if this makes sense or not. It doesn’t need to make any sense. Chris Cuomo isn’t the guy he needs to con here. I’m not the guy he needs to con here, and 60% of the people in American aren’t the people he needs to con here. He’s telling Manbaby what he wants to hear, and he’s also talking to the 35-40% of people who still think Trump is anything but a corrupt, incompetent, racist clown. He needs them to keep swallowing this horseshit.
I think maybe what they’ve worked out here is that Trump can hold his office for the time being as long as he has more than a third of the country behind him. He might not hold it for his whole term, but he can hold it for now, and for the next few months to a year. They aren’t thinking about the long haul. They’ll worry about next month next month and worry about next year next year. For now, to hang on today, tomorrow and next week, they need that 35%. If they fall to 25-30%, I think that’s when even these guys know that their time is running out. Everything they’re now doing is meant to hold and harden that 35-40%.

It’s always more complicated for the Royals. William and Harry, as sons of Diana Spencer, are more English than the Queen and the other German Windsors. And I think some other relatives have African ancestry because of marriage to a descendent of Pushkin.

It’s hard for me to see how he’ll ever figure that out. He knows his 35% eat up whatever Giuliani throws to them, and as I said above, I think that’s all they’re hoping for at this point. A while ago some facial expert told one of the newspapers that he had been asked to do a check and he had definitely asserted that Harry was Charles’s son. I remember it because the capstone of the argument had to do with their teeth. Harry inherited the small teeth and short canines of the Greek Royal family.
Bex
@SiubhanDuinne: @Adam L Silverman: Total rumor. The gentleman in question had not even met Diana until after Harry was born.
NotMax
@Qunerly
About that head thing…
Didn’t quite pan out.
;)
MomSense
@Quinerly:
Yeah the rumor was that he was the son of a bodyguard with whom Diana had an affair. The bodyguard also happens to be a ginger. From what I understand, the timing doesn’t work. He has said Harry is not his. I think Harry looks like his grandfather but who knows. This is a big change for the monarchy. Elizabeth didn’t allow her sister to marry the man she loved. Charles wasn’t allowed to marry the woman he loved. They’ve learned the hard way that denying love leads to sorrow.
Bex
@Quinerly: Actually she had very dark to black hair. Henry VIII had the trademark Tudor red hair.

@lgerard:
Trump doesn’t seem to think much about diplomacy, but instead prefers deal makers and tough talkers. And the news story notes that Harris was suggested by Pompeo. We’ll see if this new foreign policy team share a similar world view.

@Brachiator:
I’d rather leave the commentary to the professional Royal-watchers. But it is true that in 1947 I sat on the floor with my family, gathered around the radio, to listen to news coverage of Princess Elizabeth’s wedding to Prince Philip. And even at age 5, I was obsessed with her image in photographs of the wedding in newspapers and magazines. This early (and, I confess, continuing) fascination with the British Royal Family led eventually to a lifelong interest in English history. But I still love me some ceremonial pomp and circumstance, and at this point I’m old enough that I don’t care who knows it.
Mnemosyne
@Bex:
Ah, I hadn’t realized that she had been baptized as well, so either she had never been baptized or they couldn’t find the paperwork. I know it’s still a point of contention between the RCC and the LDS that the RCC doesn’t consider Mormons to be Christians and makes anyone who wants to convert get baptized rather than going straight to the other sacraments.
@Sloane Ranger:
Yeah, it seems weird to me that people would insist that Harry must be fathered by someone else based on his hair color. But some people want to see conspiracies everywhere they go. ?♀️
Emma
@Sloane Ranger: Not to mention is great-grandmother, the Queen Mother, comes from Scottish aristocracy, and they have more curly-haired gingers than any other population in the known Universe.
Mnemosyne
@Quinerly:
Har har. ?
ETA: That was a very cutting joke.
Quinerly
@SiubhanDuinne: ❤️
Quinerly
@Mnemosyne: my mom was the Royal watcher in the family (after she turned 90, she was fond of saying, “I’m older than the Queen of England.”) I will admit to be fascinated by Henry… I think it had something to do with a miniseries in the 1970’s…I ended up writing and directing a little play in Jr high school about his wives. It was a hit. ?

@SiubhanDuinne: RE QE2: Had you seen this WaPost roundup on she and her corgis? Some wonderful photos (as far back as Queen Victoria). Queen Elizabeth II loses her last corgi, Willow, marking the end of a scrappy canine dynasty
And a Vanity Fair item I’ve not looked over yet. Queen Elizabeth and Her Corgis: A Love Story
I wonder if the San Francisco folks found their corgi to borrow, for their party? I loved “and the corgi would receive much admiration and care.” So sincere.
Would much rather talk corgis than Rudy.
Quinerly
@Mnemosyne: @NotMax: somebody caught it. ?
Sloane Ranger
@rikyrah: Sorry to be pedantic but Charles is the future king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Scots, Welsh and N Irish tend to get ratty when they get overlooked. :-)

Inherited by his short-lived son, Edward VI.

Impossible. There’s not a single one of them whose name begins with the title Said or Sharifah.

I thought I heard Twilight Zone music for a moment as I read this post. Spooky.
I hope the discovery of the Rudyverse is used as a tool for good, not evil.

Clearly, the Rudies Giuliani are here to show us what Mulitiplicity would have been like if the lead character had already been a copy to start out with. And also a terrible person with no moral center.

@NotMax: And his way-longer-lived daughter, Elizabeth I.

@Roger Moore: Didn’t someone else work for Трамп for free?
Sorry, I don’t recall.

Point? What point?

@GxB: Gosh, 27%. Seems oddly familiar. I wonder why this specific fraction.

Its obvious that donnie is a quantum entanglement, so time-temperature superposition applies.

Nope. Don’t discount that elephant.

@Mingobat (f/k/a Karen in GA): +1
Well, your spelling is, hmm, historically questionable.
I believe the Latin is “Rudus Ghouli Anus”. (in archaic Latin, Juli Anus.) Similarly, “Marcus Rubius”.
Get in step with the feet already dead in the service of their country!

Hey, Amir, Happy Ramadan so far!!
Wanted to ask you, have you watched any US professional Soccer League games? If so, how do they compare to Manchester and those guys, Real Madrid, etc. The real pro teams in Soccer internationally.
Take care of yourself during this early summer fast!!

@Frankensteinbeck: a summary I have occasionally found useful when trying to understand my colleagues:
Joanna Ashmun on narcissists
and yeah, who among us is not self-centered?
But some are more self-centered than others.

Rudys Giuliani, like Attorneys General, except the derpy version.
