Good Morning All,
Today, pictures from valued commenter realbtl.
Last day of our trip. This trip has been wonderful and interesting but I’m ready to scritch my doggies and sleep in my own bed. It always helps going home to a place that many people come to for their vacation, NW Montana.
Took a 15 mile trip down to Slane. The old abbey was the high spot. There was 1 car w/3 people when we arrived and they soon left. Being there alone on the top of the hill helped get in touch with the land.

Is that a basketball in number 3?

@raven: It’s an inverted clay pot. I’m glad that you noticed that, because when you zoom in you notice different things.

That’s a gorgeous spooky cemetery.

Great photos! The gray, cloudy sky seems totally appropriate for the setting.

Ruins! Something about them always draws me in. I want to sit and listen to the voices of the past. Sometimes I can almost hear them.

This spot really felt like Irelan. There was no one else there and you could see miles of rolling farmlands.
Raven- not a basketball, unsure what it was but there were flowers etc on some of the graves.

When I visited Ireland, decades ago, I was alone on Tara — Tara! — but for a few sheep and one young couple, one of whom was playing a wooden flute. The site was so undeveloped then, with one tiny gift shop at the foot of the hill that provided a brochure or two. Just wish I’d gotten to Stonehenge on that trip, as it was wide open then.

Dammit, Baud, you had one job.
