This is from this morning but I’d like add a little more money to the pot if we can….when someone writes in to say they’re canvassing for a candidate, I like to hit at least 1K.
***********************
Reader KVP is going door-to-door canvassing for Dana Cottrell in FL-11. I asked for a blurb and I was sent a link to this Daily Kos diary in support of Dana, which includes a video of the Mary Tyler Moore theme song.
FL-11 is a tough district for Dems, but that means Dana needs our help all the more. And I’m ALWAYS happy to raise money for a candidate that real life jackals are canvassing for.

Donated++.
We’re going to be very happy on Wednesday November 7 when it looks like Democrats have the House again. We’re going to be kicking ourselves if it doesn’t happen. It’s the seemingly tough races that will make the difference. Let’s do what we can to make the future we want to see.
Thanks Doug!
Cheers,
Scott.

In other news, Gordon is heading to Mississippi. It looks like the eye is expected to hit the shore around 2 AM Wednesday.
Be careful, everyone. Be prepared…
Fingers crossed.
Cheers,
Scott.

I’m in too. We live in MD but have a farm we’re fixing up in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of VA. It’s retiring a**hole Bob Goodlatte’s district who is the chair of the House Judiciary Committee and not well-liked. Because he rarely visits his district or respond to his constituents. He knows his district is bright red but, in act, is rapidly changing. The Democratic challenger, Jennifer Lewis, is a local women raised in a farming family and an environmentalist and mental health professional (she has focused on the opioid crisis). She’s young, charismatic and her GOP opponent is not even from the area or really doing much campaigning (assuming he will win in a walk). Though we can’t vote for her we are canvassing for her. Young women could make a real difference in Congress. (The ultimate F-U: Bob Goodlatte’s son, who lives in CA gave the maximum permissible donation to Democrat Jennifer Lewis to replace him. HAH!)

Fundraising is so hard. I wish it wasn’t necessary for elections.
But, I’m in as soon as I get some money.

These ActBlue fundraising posts should have their own tag: Give Me Some Money.

@Amir Khalid: Show Me The Money works too.
Wish I had some scratch to hand over right now but between rent and bills I’m a little strapped. Next time I get paid however…

Even if Dana doesn’t win, voters brought in by canvassing will also help Gillum and Nelson. Donated!

@Yutsano:
Doug! likes to quote the Spinal Tap song in these posts. I think of it as their theme song.

I’ve been a lurker on this blog for years and never commented. I hang around because the front pagers are great, and there’s so much wisdom, caring, and generosity among the commenters. You’ve all lived up to my sky-high expectations. Thanks so much to all of you!

Follow-up: she really is a worthy candidate. Here’s her website if you’d like to poke around a bit (suggestions for improvement are welcome as well, of course): https://danacottrellforcongress.com
