    You know his minders told him to throw in that “perhaps” to make the sentence completely meaningless.

    Right. They must have got him to say that exact sentence in front of a camera twenty times during the rehearsal. Kavanaugh is very deliberately raising the possibility that Dr. Ford was never assaulted by anyone, ever, but brags that he’s far too much of a gentleman to challenge her wacko allegation.

    There will be a lot more of that iron fist in a velvet glove treatment when they try to skewer her on Thursday.

    @debbie: Avenatti posed some pointed questions in his letters to the Jud committee, sounds like they’re based on someone’s very personal knowledge of Kavanaugh and Judge and their group.

    Also, he’s saying his client, the one that was assaulted will be doing an interview in the next 48 hrs.

    The intent was to change the subject and it did. There’s a reason Rosenstein and Trump will meet Thursday. If Dr. Ford performs well, Rosenstein is gone.
