Happy Holidays in all appropriate permutations, there’s a fantastic post lined up for Tuesday, see you then!
Today, pictures from valued commenter EBT.
We have been fixing up a ranch, and part of that means upping our cat quota.

This first little man is Hobbs. He has been running all over the house exploring this new huge space and most recently made us spend 20 minutes trying to find him hiding out under the edge of a blanket.

And here is Hobbs’ little brother Archimedes. He is already exhausted from being brought home and exploring the house. I expect him to wake up around 2 am and cause property damage.

And now we move on to the two cats we already had.
This handsome panther of a bastard is Binx, and he will talk your head off. His main form of entertainment is flopping just out of your reach, and getting up and acting offended if you do anything other than strain yourself to reach him. Currently he is walking around the house letting everyone know there are kittens.

And finally we have Takkun (tah-koon). She is not having this whole “new kitten” thing and has taken to hiding under the bed and screeching if anyone moves the bed skirt to look at her. In a couple days the new reality will sink in and she will come back out.
Thank you so much EBT, do send us more when you can.
Travel safely everybody, and do share some stories in the comments, even if you’re joining the conversation late. Many folks confide that they go back and read old threads, one reason these are available on the Quick Links menu.

Hobbs looks like the good kind of trouble. They are an excellent herd of cats – congratulations on being hired to take care of them!

Thanks! You are going to get your exercise this holiday season searching for the kittens. Enjoy.

Lovely family.

Cats and white carpeting? Someone’s tempting fate!

Hobbs and Archimedes are wonderful, handsome kitties!!
The older cats are black cats, which are beautiful in their own dark way, like BatMan.
Our first cat, way back in Pascagoula, MS, was all black, and we named her Jezibel.
Good luck with the kittens and Christmas stuff, they love it, they want it, and they will have it, all over the floor.
