Intel Chairman @AdamSchiff, after vote to send Mueller transcripts from Russia interviews, says cmte will also soon announce parameters for renewed probe that he says goes beyond Russia. Says it’ll be done “in concert with other committees.”

Mueller needed official copies of these transcripts to indict perjurers.
Junior, Erik Prince, et al, are now officially under Indictment Watch.

This means the House Intel Committee will investigate how one of its own members, former Chair @DevinNunes, obstructed its investigation. https://t.co/dNSMyhqobc

The Midnight Lurker
It’s about fucking time!
It’s so weird to have a Congress that actually cares when people are lying to them!
Karma is a beach.
They’re going to need a large number of busses. Also, the idea that Devin Nunes may be indicted just tickles me. Why not… Paul Ryan? Um, by the way…
Re, last tweet: That must be all the winning I’m supposed to be sick of.
A Ghost To Most
Once is an incident, twice is a trend, five is – a conspiracy?
@different-church-lady: Yeah, that last visual is epic. Those subjects of investigation do appear to have something in common… though I can’t quite put my finger on it.
A Ghost To Most
How sad is it when it’s a relief to read about the Russia investigation, a horrendous clusterfuck in its own right, as opposed to the relatively new horrendous clusterfuck in Virginia.
A Ghost To Most
The Russian coup conspiracy is orders of magnitude more horrendous than what is happening in VA. Orders.
Agreed, but take the good news where you find it!
Meanwhile, my personal bette noir is Brad Parscale. He thinks he has gotten away with it all. But now, his campaign hipster self may be realizing all is not clear without Nunes to save him.
Or, the actual issue going on in America as opposed to blackface done 35 years ago.
I really love this part.
I’m sorry, but the president made it clear last night that you guys need to stop all this “resistance” stuff. The investigations, the questions. Just knock it off, alright?
@A Ghost To Most: You’ll get no argument on that from me.
Except that they are all lying about Russia, and there’s no question on the right way to proceed re: Russia. There is no moral ambiguity there.
At this point, everything about Virginia is making my head spin, and at this point I don’t know what the least worst option is in Virginia.
@Immanentize: Wasn’t he the one that winked at the two female reporters during his CBS interview?
Sister Golden Bear
@trollhattan: Do the Azores have an extradition treaty?
Rhetorical question, I know they’re part of Portugal.
Although Nunes is dumb enough to think he could escape there.
I hadn’t heard that, but certainly fits his personal.
The man is an idiot, but thinks he’s a super genius. To clever to get caught, because he knows computer things!
@germy: Yeah, Schiff heard that “don’t investigate me” part of the SOTU last night and decided to release the kraken anyway.
Jim, Foolish Literalist
@Mary G: as the joke was about his “red line” with his company, it’s the guy being asked if he any knowledge of his missing wife’s whereabouts: “No! And whatever you do don’t look in the trunk of my car!”
Inching the control knob from poach to simmer, a Good Thing.
Wheels of justice, grind fine and all that.
Tick tock, motherfuckers! Traitors gonna pay.
Does this mean that every photo I see of Nunes from now on he will look even MORE shifty, nervous and sneaky? How is this possible?
The clock struck one/The mouse ran down…
@OzarkHillbilly: Just waiting for machine-gun turrets every fifty yards, and a free-fire zone.
A Ghost To Most
After democracy is safe from autocracy, there are a great many discussions that need be had with a great many people about a whole lot of nasty shit.
Win the war, then demand reparations. How do you de-program 60 million brainwashed fools?

Excellent news. Serves, also, to shift media focus from Virginia to a degree ( though that mess must not be ignored).
@A Ghost To Most: put Rupert Murdoch and his entire family in public stocks on the WH lawn facing Pennsylvania Avenue. They can spend the rest of their lives there. We can have Sean Hannity and the Fox and Friends crew tend to their every need personally as part of their sentences.
Was the vote on party lines?
@A Ghost To Most
We did it with Joe McCarthy, we’ll do it again with this cohort. Never 100% effective, it ought to go without saying; reducing them to a toothless fringe movement for as long as possible is usually the best one can aim for.
Gin & Tonic
Elections have consequences.
@piratedan: Grants them way too much freedom. They deserve lonely dark 8 by 8 cells.
Steve in the ATL
@MattF: with a Checkpoint Carlos
@Yutsano: Would 4×8 be too cruel.
@OzarkHillbilly: Is that barbed wire all on the US side of the barrier? Are they worried about people trying to escape _from_ the United States?
There it is. Ahhh, like a fine aged wine. :-)
Countdown to Devin Nunes suddenly finding a compelling reason to “spend more time with his family” and get the fuck out of Dodge…
@p.a.: Probably a voice vote.
I believe the traditional place to put traitors is about 6×2 and located 6 feet underground.
Alexa, order all of the popcorn. Yes, all of it. E-Trade, buy popcorn futures.
@Mike R: Not if we get it by the ratfuckers on the Supreme Court it ain’t…
West of the Rockies
I missed that Tweet. What has the response been?
the bad side of putting your fucking name on every goddamn thing.
Mike in DC
They need to re-invite half the witnesses from the last term, the ones who were allowed by Nunes to get away with not answering tough questions, ask those questions under subpoena, and send those transcripts to Mueller as well.
The president* is welcome to bend down and kiss my shiny metal ass.‡

This news might explain McConnell’s super sad face at the SOTU. Senators like Burr might be on the up and up, more or less, as much as he can bring himself to be. I am doubtful on some of the other GOP Senators.
NO! At least one repub acquiesced, or so I’ve read. Rats, sinking ship…
Lock Nunes Up!
The Moar You Know
@dmsilev: They will be, absent a massive change in how we conduct ourselves as a nation.
He said “no investigations.”
Schiff heard “mo’ investigations.”
@West of the Rockies: Quite a few responses. All over the place.
@The Moar You Know
Caravans of senior citizens desperate to get to Mexico for cheaper pharmaceuticals.
@germy: If we cooperate, we can end this divisive investigation, stop this ridiculous resistance and the investigation. We can choose vision and love in our hearts instead of war with Korea and investigations. Remember about defeat fascism. Working together we can reach our destiny, a land of great infrastructure and cheap drugs, live among millions of jobs and glorious babies. Freedom. And I would let more people out of prison if you let me go free. Redemption.
I can’t wait to read Trump’s next rhyming couplet responding to this!
The most American of distractions!
Thank you for your commentary last night. My head would have exploded had I had to listen myself!
Nothing beckons the huddling masses yearning to be free like all that wire stuff.
@OzarkHillbilly: “look like”
@Gravenstone: More time with his family … in a country without extradition to the US.
Our sole revenue stream just suddenly dried up and we’re looking at having to flee our apartment with nowhere else to go and living out of our van. The details are here, unvarnished and without exaggeration. And we desperately need help more than you know.
That’s twice today so far for jp. For any unfamiliar, he’s been reciting this same act for well over a decade.
Even I knew not to click, and I’ll click on anything.
FWIW, while Nunes certainly should and deserves to be investigated, Schatzman may be misreading the fifth inquiry: I think ‘those in the Congress’ is supposed to modify ‘investigations’, not ‘actors’. But otherwise ‘actors’ would be a strange and somewhat prejudicial term to apply to Congresspeople.
A little something to assuage an itchy clicky finger. Harmless, promise.
@thafax: Somehow I lost a thought in this comment, but between the two sentences I meant to say: “It could be possible that the the ambiguity is intentional.”
Sooo apparently it’s probably harder to find a white man of a certain age who DIDN’T don Blackface…smh
I mean is it a right of passage or something?
Oh and anyone else think the entire reaction and possible consequences to the VA situation is shining a light on the systemic racism underlyig the US since it’s inception. I mean 2 white politicians admitting to donning Blackface… 1 Black politician being accused of assault in a entirely sketchy situation…and the one who’s the most likely to be made to resign is the Black politician who fervently denies allegations.
This is America
Anyhoo…your bit of educational info courtesy on the NMAAHC
Everyone on that list of transcripts is stupid and arrogant enough to have lied to Congress.
White male graduated in 1980 from Johns Hopkins, never wore blackface in my life. I do know for a fact that one of the fraternities did have people in blackface at a couple of events, one of which I attended (a casino night). The fraternity was almost always in trouuble, and may have even been suspended at one point.
@lamh36: Any discussion of blackface should include a viewing of “Lethal Weapon 5”

Is Nunes guilty of a) coverup, or b) obstruction? Inquiring minds want to know.
@SenyorDave: Betcha $$ to donuts you’re talking about KA. (I made it out of The Hop about a decade before you.) (ETA: I recall from rush parties my freshman year a supersized Stars&Bars on the wall at that house – on St. Paul or Calvert St. south of 33rd unless I miss my guess very badly.)
Another US Attorney joins the fray?
Butina’s Republican operative boyfriend has been indicted on 11 counts from South Dakota
@NotMax: There’s a furniture store near me like that. It’s been going out of business for twelve years now.
Been wondering what the Alexa-Djinn might deliver for a while now for “all the popcorn” wishes. (Popcorn futures, well, that might have unintended consequences. Just saying… :-)
That’s 393 kilotons of popcorn production in 2012. (Nearly all popcorn is produced in the US.)
Depending on how often people order all the popcorn, you might only have it for a short while before it was all wished away to bury another neighborhood.
