It seemed to have been an excellent episode… and just possibly, some portion of the viewing public seems to be ready for a ‘schoolmarm’ president who at least we’re sure can read!

    I’m still open to other candidates and will vote for whomever the Democratic Party’s nominee is in 2020, even if it’s douchebag non-Dem Bernie Sanders. But so far, Warren is at the top of my list. She has bold ideas and detailed policies that would actually make things better for regular people, and she’s talking about the issues I care about, including addressing the rampant corruption and galloping wealth inequality that are destroying this country. It’s absolutely nauseating to me that the sexist “schoolmarm” tag and the absurd DNA nothingburger might stop such a strong, substantive candidate.

    Today the media is cautioning Dems about "investigation fatigue" while excitedly reporting that Graham wants to investigate Hillary's emails.
    GOP suffered NO consequences from their nonstop investigations and obstruction — stop letting them scare us out of using our power.

    As an outside observer, I am reassured by the overall quality of the Democratic party’s presidential candidates and their ability to engage the public.

    @Betty Cracker:
    Pretty much where I am for now. She’s running a smart campaign that is landing in my lap, for whatever reasons, in a manner no other candidate is. And I’m liking what I’m hearing. I don’t think she’s beholden to anybody* and I don’t think she has hidden agendas–those are on her sleeve for all to see.

    Yeah, to hell with that. Investigation fatigue means they’re tired of reporting it. Where the hell were they with Issa et al and with Ken Starr? Now, they’re tired? Worn out counting indictments and plea deals?

    Compassionate Trump Issues Full Presidential Pardon For Robert Mueller

    WASHINGTON—Exercising his powers of clemency for the first time since taking office, President Trump compassionately issued a full presidential pardon Monday for former Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller that cleared him of any wrongdoing.

    Elizabeth Warren is, imho, the strongest candidate out there right now. She will not back down against money or power and with a Democratic House and Senate standing with her perhaps some of the damage being done to our people and country could be repaired.

    I haven’t decided yet whom I support, but the idea that she’s “unlikable” is a really stark example of the rampant sexism at work. I like her a lot.

    I really like her and she’s the closest to my ideological position but it’s requiring a leap of faith to go all in- I feel like political media hate her and she has that plus the fact that she’s a woman and sort of a “smarty pants”- which is harder for women.

    It matters to me that she works so hard. I admire that. I also like how clearly defined her opinions and positions are- she has given this A LOT of thought. I’m just flat-out impressed.

    I just have to get over my caution and decide win or lose she’s the best, and I probably will. What the hell. Support the one you think is best, right? And the hell with the haters :)

    I wonder how many people are like me hanging back a bit because we know how this goes and she will have a hard road.

    Also- now that rampant, unchecked white collar crime and corruption have become a top tier issue it’s worth remembering that Warren was there first.

    She has been talking about having a “cop on the beat” to protect ordinary people from financial crimes and fraud for 20 years.

    We would get ROBUST, DEDICATED and FEARLESS enforcement of existing law, at minimum. That alone would be a huge improvement over what we have now, which is rich and powerful criminals acting with complete impunity and zero accountability.

    This is bad and superstitious but I wish she wasn’t the senator from Massachusetts. It would be better if she were the senator from Oklahoma! I just feel like Massachusetts is bad luck for us. No offense! :)

    @Kay:
    apparently the dem party did not consider “electability” when we nominated a black guy with a middle name “Hussein” who had been partly raised in Indonesia.
    Overthinking is what we do. Second guessing is what we do. I like Warren, and i am all in.
    I can do a Hamlet over it, but time is too precious. In a multiple choice test, go with your first guess always – that is a proven strategy.

    Right now I’m for Kamala Harris, although Professor Senator Warren is a close second. I will work for either of them. I won’t throw wet on Bernie Sanders if he’s on fire, although I would have to vote for him is that was the choice over Trump.

    I will also support and work for most of the current running Democratic presidential candidates… at least the ones I’ve ever heard of. Including Pete Buddigieg or however you sple that.
