Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Everybody saw this coming.

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

Their freedom requires your slavery.

You don’t get rid of your umbrella while it’s still raining.

The lights are all blinking red.

The rest of the comments were smacking Boebert like she was a piñata.

People are weird.

Democracy is not a spectator sport.

“Can i answer the question? No you can not!”

When they say they are pro-life, they do not mean yours.

Everything is totally normal and fine!!!

How stupid are these people?

There are more Russians standing up to Putin than Republicans.

Every reporter and pundit should have to declare if they ever vacationed with a billionaire.

It is not hopeless, and we are not helpless.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

Polls are now a reliable indicator of what corporate Republicans want us to think.

The real work of an opposition party is to hold the people in power accountable.

If you can’t control your emotions, someone else will.

Trumpflation is an intolerable hardship for every American, and it’s Trump’s fault.

Have a wonderful day and weekend and enjoy the pictures!

Today, pictures from valued commenter Kenneth Kohl.

My wife and I spent the weekend in Watkins Glen, NY to relax and celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Part of that celebration was “walking the Glen”. We made it a two hour safari and it was spectacular. Nature is astounding.

Wine wasn’t bad, either.

Thank you so much Kenneth Kohl, do send us more when you can.

Travel safely everybody, and do share some stories in the comments, even if you’re joining the conversation late. Many folks confide that they go back and read old threads, one reason these are available on the Quick Links menu.

Test test. Le *sigh* Seems I’m on some sort of alternate-day commentability rationing.

Nice spot, all I thought about it was there’s some sort of auto race there, isn’t there?

    @p.a.:

Big NASCAR race there every year. Seneca Lake is beautiful and there are dozens of wineries around the lake, so many that you can’t go more than a couple of miles without passing one. Very fun to do wine tours but moderation is key.

Wow. I want to be reality-photoshopped into your first picture so I can be there.

I grew up in that region. Want more? Couple miles to the south is Montour falls, right at the roadside. Go to Ithaca and there are 7 different gorges you can hike. 3 in state parks (Buttermilk, Tremain, Taughhanock) and the others just right in town. Another set on at Fillmore Glen state park at the foot of Owasco lake, east of Cayuga.
