… Or if Leader McConnell allowed us any!…

Romney of the Uncanny Valley, peak functionality.
I'd even bet a former presidential candidate & current senator would be able to pull some strings and get through to the director of the FBI if needed
— H Incandenza (@BurkeThos) June 18, 2019
Gee, @mittromney, if only Mitch McConnell would let the Senate vote on exactly such a bill to protect American elections.

Reading his words hurt my brain. The stupid…

Christ, what an asshole!

Still waiting for Willard to self-deport to any country that would take him.

Romney’s pie hole is even slippier than his hair. I think he thinks he can run for Preznit again. Might even use his own money this time…. Nah…that’s crazy talk.
Dorothy A. Winsor
When does this rally start?
lumpkin
Romney really is fucking worthless innee?
Baud
Sounds like big government to me.
ETA: The bigger the government, the smaller the individual.
MomSense
I still fucking hate Mitt Romney. Maybe he should sell some stocks and buy a clue.
WhatsMyNym
He’s another worthless politician…
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his approval of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion Tuesday. The completed project would result in a surge of new oil tanker traffic through Pacific Northwest waters.

@MomSense:
Election night 2012 was one of my happiest memories. I had hoped it would have been eclipsed by election night 2016. Oh well.
MomSense
@Baud:
Same. I worked so hard that election. I don’t think people realize how tough that contest really was.
Baud
@MomSense:
Obama probably would have won a third term against Trump, but it would have been a lot closer than people want to admit. The hate had reached a boiling point in 2016.

USA Today News:Acting SecDef Shanahan out amid violent domestic dispute
I just saw this and was like, wtf? A new acting SecDef is in the job. We’ve been without a SecDef for six months now, as we inch closer to war with Iran. And Trumpov is defending the White House vetting process, saying, “Acting gives you greater flexibility to hire.”
SFH. Low quality doesn’t beging to describe these people.
Roger Moore
@Mike in NC:
I think you’ll wait a long time for the “country that would take him” part.
rk
@Dorothy A. Winsor:
I made the mistake of clicking the live feed of the rally. Caught Don jr trashing Biden. Said “Biden is so stupid”, then mimicked Biden and said something about Biden’s “groping”. At that point I turned it off. Vulgar trash talking to deplorable trash.

Drawn from the hat labeled “If It’s Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium Policy” for today’s statement: Exclusive: President Trump Calls Alleged Iranian Attack on Oil Tankers ‘Very Minor’
Tomorrow? Who the hell knows?

To steal from an unknown source, watching Mitt consider confronting Mitch about this matter is like watching Wally Cox coach a pro football team
Keith P.
@Baud: Yeah, I’m half expecting Romney to push some bill to fund a “Foreign Interference Czar” position in the administration
kindness
Don’t you see how badly Republicans want to blame Democrats for foreign influence in our elections.
Projection must be one hell of a drug. You’d think that me a child of the 70s would have tested it out.
misterpuff
@Mike in NC: He’d like to go to Deseret, but unfortunately that country is in an alternate universe. But I’m sure Bishop Romney will someday lord it over his own planet.

@WhatsMyNym:
Ain’t gonna happen.
Dilbit, which the pipeline will focus on, is 1/3 highly explosive proprietary solvents, 1/3 highly abrasive petcoke, and 1/3 heavy crude.
The West Coast Refineries that currently use the Trans Mountain Pipeline, arn’t set up to refine Dilbit, and as a result, some will close, and some will switch to Bakken Shale by pipeline, or Southern Alberta Heavy by railcar.
The only refineries in the World currently set up to handle Dilbit are on the Great Lakes and the Southern US Coasts.
While the Chinese would love tanker loads of refined product or even Heavy Crude, they have no interest in the solvents, ( toxic waste) or petcoke, and they certainly have no interest in paying for a supertanker only 1/3rd full of what they actually want.
Just like Site C, BC’s LNG, there isn’t going to be a market magically appearing for something nobody wants and there is a glut of.
trollhattan
@Mike in NC:
In Stephen Miller’s worldview Romney is an anchor baby and needs to Go Back To Mexico.
He’s the shittiest bonus prize imaginable for the gift of no longer having Orrin Hatch around.
RAM
It’s not called the Stupid Party for nothing, you know…
Lit3Bolt
Now I can see why no one wants to be a Senator. They’re so powerless!
Ohio Mom
@Kathleen: “Detention” camps, snort. Detention is what my kid got for being late to school too many days in a row. Sorry Chris Hayes, they are concentration camps.

David ??Merry Christmas?? Koch
@Kathleen: let’s ask the brown kids in cages if they feel “detained”
oops. you can’t.

Chris Hayes is weak.

Re selfdeporting, isn’t he (like the other hoitytoities of the Later-the-Same-Day Saints) jes’ hangin’ ’round this mortal coil until his soul gets an entire planet to run in the Hereinafter? Or did I misread something in my notes from Comparative Religion 201 (The Joy Of Sects)?

@trollhattan:
When every I see or hear from Mitt Romney, all I can think of is his father George, who helped create HUD and who was the first major Republican to come out strongly against the Vietnam War. I can only assume he would weep if he could see what sort of man his son grew up to be.

A Ghost To Most
Kudos to the Orlando PD, for successfully heading off the Proud Boys from an anti-T rally.

Mittens isn’t that stupid. He’s trolling, like his boss Yertle. They’re a goddamn barrel of laughs.

Next tweet shows it inflated, upright. Smaller ones were being sold at the protest rally.

I think I’m going to donate to him because I heard him at a gun reg hearing years ago and he was very honest.
So, 3 dollars it is! Don’t spend it all in one place Mark.
Also he has an identical twin who is an astronaut too, which is crazy.
plato
what a duplicitous fucktard of a douche.
Jay
Jim, Foolish Literalist
any bets on whether or not he brings up Bette Midler?
Dan B
@Jay: So did Trudeau approve the pipeline to appease Alberta conservatives? There are a lot of native peoples and wealthy waterfront owners in the Salish Sea that wouldn’t want petcoke and solvents washing up on their beaches or headlands, let alone destroying the already struggling marine life.
Those are some tricky waterways to navigate.
David ??Merry Christmas?? Koch
@Jim, Foolish Literalist: That would be divine.
plato
Fiiinally.
Kay
@Jim, Foolish Literalist:
He’s a bore. It’s the same shit every speech, every event. Now he drags the low quality hires onstage to fawn over him, but other than that it’s 2016 again.
Duane
The venal Hucksterbee-Sanders got huge cheers at the hate rally. Chants of Sarah, Sarah. They expect her to become Governor of Arkansas because Daddy was I suppose. Not enough money, she’ll land at Fox like Hope Hicks the current CCO. Fuckem.
Jim, Foolish Literalist
@Kay: Yup
(wish he had left that last one out)
@Duane: they want Hatch Act violations? Watch this! (Adolescent defiance disorder… is that a thing?)
Duane
@Jim, Foolish Literalist: Smellyass Con-Way says the Hatch Act is “alternative law.”
Another burdensome liberal regulation destroying freedom!
Jay
@Dan B:
When TransMountain II was being challenged in the Courts, he bought the leaking 54 year old pipeline for $4.5 billion from Kinder Morgan, ( an Enron offshoot), overpaying by $4.2 billion dollars, by some accounts.
It was a blatant political sop to Alberta and Saskatchewan, and a product of the Morons, Hedgefunds and Petroheads he’s surrounded himself with. Didn’t win him any love in Alberta or Saskatchewan, instead, sparked a QAnon like Yellow Vests Canada hate mob.
Pissed off BC to no end, now Washington State, Oregon and California are getting in on the act too.
He’s floated the idea of turning it over the the Indigenous Peoples, some think it could be a source of jobs and revinue for their Bands, most are veminently opposed. It depends on how linked the Band is to traditional culture, foods and language, and how much they rely on seasonal forestry for employment.
Dilbit doesn’t float. It sinks to the bottom, and has to be dredged up along with soil/rock to a depth of about 8 metres.
Trudeau promised BC a “Global Leading Oil Response” program for the West Coast, which when the Hecate Straight went down, turned out to be 24 days to respond with “containment”, the use of banned dispersal chemicals, and a clean up still not done, ( beaches only) 3 years later.

He has also admitted his guilt. On national television. He wasn’t even tricked into it; he volunteered.

Understatement, Jerzy, understatement! As a California expat I have the extreme misfortune to be represented by that hollow man. UGH.

Willard: Or then again, maybe Mr. Trump or Mr. McConnell have another idea. I’m for what they think.
