Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

These days, even the boring Republicans are nuts.

If you don’t believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love isn’t freedom, it is privilege.

If you cannot answer whether trump lost the 2020 election, you are unfit for office.

A tremendous foreign policy asset… to all of our adversaries.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

We know you aren’t a Democrat but since you seem confused let me help you.

SCOTUS: It’s not “bribery” unless it comes from the Bribery region of France. Otherwise, it’s merely “sparkling malfeasance”.

The snowflake in chief appeared visibly frustrated when questioned by a reporter about egg prices.

The most dangerous place for a black man in America is in a white man’s imagination.

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

Republicans seem to think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before.

If you thought you’d already seen people saying the stupidest things possible on the internet, prepare yourselves.

Disappointing to see gov. newsom with his finger to the wind.

Trump should be leading, not lying.

My years-long effort to drive family and friends away has really paid off this year.

Donald Trump found guilty as fuck – May 30, 2024!

Let me file that under fuck it.

Fear or fury? The choice is ours.

Republicans cannot even be trusted with their own money.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires Republicans to act in good faith.

If rights aren’t universal, they are privilege, not rights.

Sometimes the world just tells you your cat is here.

“In this country American means white. everybody else has to hyphenate.”

Something needs to be done about our bogus SCOTUS.

Long day today- bunch of things going on and I had a doctor’s appointment- I have lost 15 lbs since February, and my BP is now 122/75, so the doctor was happy and told me to keep at it, whatever that means.

Anything exciting going on?

    Grats on the good news, John. Avalune and I are getting pedicures tomorrow, followed up by massages on Saturday. This is our second one in two weeks and we’re trying to now do it on a monthly basis. I’m hoping it helps with my recovery. If nothing else, I hope it helps work out/relax some of my worst areas.

    Very cool. Keep up the good work.

    I am finally getting around to watching the first season of the Amazon Prime series, Fleabag. Kept hearing good things about it. And this will keep me away from the national news for a while.

    @SiubhanDuinne: yeah, right?
    Congrats John, because that’s great progress. I’m struggling to try to shed some weight myself and it’s tough.

    @Brachiator: loved Fleabag! Just started Good Omens. It was already on the watch list, but knowing that fundie Xtians hate it is an added inducement.

    @satby

    Had high hopes for it but came away from Good Omens supremely underwhelmed. Worth a watch one time. Really disappointed with how they cheaped out on much of the SFX.

    For Pratchett work better put to live action, check out Going Postal or Hogfather on Prime.

    Congratulation Cole! And maybe not paying attention to Trump is helping keep your BP down. We know he’s a monster; details aren’t important at this point.

    Not sure where you are in your recovery, but myofascial release is a godsend.
