Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

Why is it so hard for them to condemn hate?

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

Battle won, war still ongoing.

Do not shrug your shoulders and accept the normalization of untruths.

“What are Republicans afraid of?” Everything.

Our job is not to persuade republicans but to defeat them.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

fuckem (in honor of the late great efgoldman)

🎶 Those boots were made for mockin’ 🎵

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

New McCarthy, same old McCarthyism.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

Putin must be throwing ketchup at the walls.

The next time the wall street journal editorial board speaks the truth will be the first.

The republican caucus is already covering themselves with something, and it’s not glory.

When do we start airlifting the women and children out of Texas?

This has so much WTF written all over it that it is hard to comprehend.

Republicans are the party of chaos and catastrophe.

White supremacy is terrorism.

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

Consistently wrong since 2002

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

The Library of Congress is one of the institutions in the US that still gives me hope.

Nice Annapolis view, I’m a Johnnie and I don’t remember that walkway at all, but of course I kept to the flat places when walking off campus.

Oh, takes me back to my own high school trip from California to D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, New York to experience US history. Love the architecture, love the photographs!

Very cool pics. I skipped my school trip to D.C., so I’ve never been there.

    @TomatoQueen:

That walkway is near the top of Main Street, near the Treaty of Paris Inn.

The African American History Museum was the highlight of the trip. There are special exhibitions on the upper floors. The main part of the museum takes you three floors below grade, back in time before the slave trade, then you walk up to the present. I came away believing that every American should take that walk.

Ah, no wonder, Treaty of Paris was very much off-wallet when I were a lass on my way to Chick & Ruth’s.
