Speaking of kitties, Chonk-o-cat has found a home. If you click through, a whole bunch of cute, adoptable kitties:
Sweet chunky Mr. B’s amazed by the huge outpawing of interest in him – over 3000 applications! He has a foster (maybe forever) home now – but so many other great adoptable cats need you. Here’s a thread of ours. Let’s make it go viral too. Adopt and RT for Mr. B and all the cats! pic.twitter.com/063Mtk0qTP
@TenguPhule: I’m partly to blame. I’ve had about 20 of them (in all fairness, they’ve been available in Houston for at least a couple of months already). I finally hit a sold out location on Sunday (but got another one by work on Monday).
I didn’t get a chance to sample this sammich. But I’ve had the chicken sandwich a few times from The Sentinel in downtown SF, and it was pretty delish. I wonder how it compares ….

@A Ghost To Most: I would expect so. There isn’t one very close to where I currently live, so I haven’t had Popeyes in a while.
Part of the sub-sub-section of humanity immune to the mass brainwashing that there is ever anything cute about cats or kittens. To those who like or love the creatures, more power to ya; ’tain’t my bag, I’ve always found them downright creepy and odious. And have the unsolicited physical scars attained over the years to prove the feeling is mutual
There’s a small pet store next to the dry cleaner I use. They have three stacked cages where they have a rotating line up of cats/kittens from a foster organization they work with. Since we have a cat who won’t tolerate another cat in the house I always stop in to get my kitten fix. I then go home and tell her all about the adorable kitties I’ve seen.
These pictures are an equivalent of that. Thanks for posting it.

@Omnes Omnibus: I would expect. I don’t eat them often, as I don’t do well with refined carbohydrates, but I do appreciate good biscuits.
I have a feral cat that gave birth to a litter of five kittens in my basement ceiling. I had to tie off the umbilical cord and cut it with heat sterilized scissors to separate the placenta from two of the kittens. Mommy gave birth to these two too close entrance of her little cave and was too scared to take care of them, plus there was some scrap drywall in the way. All five kittens appear to be healthy and nursing.
If it wasn’t for the newborn kittens meowing I wouldn’t know she was there. I’ve managed to get her litterbox trained and she eats the food I put out but I never see her. I called the local SPCA and have an appointment to borrow a live trap and get her spayed in six weeks.

FOIA dump reveals @ADL facilitated training of ICE and CBP officials in Israeli counterterrorism tactics now employed against asylum seekers https://t.co/dBrkAlvWNS— דער ייִדישר אַרבּעטער (@JewishWorker) August 30, 2019
@Jay: I’ve trained ICE officers. I did an inservice for the Tampa field office in December 2012. One of my former students, a US Army Reserve colonel, was on of the three Deputy Supervisory Special Agents in Charge in that office at the time. It was a real mixed group. The suit and tie officers like my former students, all with advanced degrees doing long term investigations into trafficking and smuggling. The door kickers who we think of when we think of ICE. And the support staff, including analysts and public affairs personnel. I was there to teach about how to do engagements and establish relationships and rapport with the communities that ICE has to deal with so that you don’t have to kick in so many doors. The suit and tie folks and the support folks, especially the public affairs specialists, were thrilled. The door kickers were polite because they got a free continental breakfast and didn’t have to be doing paperwork or other stuff because they were attending the inservice.
Kudos to you for taking care of the kitties. Hope you can eventually get close enough to the kittens to handle them, so they will be socialized. And you get to pet kittens!
