I’ve been working and popped over to see what’s new before shutting down for the night, and it looks like everyone has been raptured or the other FPs are having a party and forgot to invite us. Anyway, here’s an open thread for you.

I’m not sure what’s going on here, but Twitter is all aflutter because IQ45 is having another night of meltdowns and went after John Legend and Chrissy Teigen in some incomprehensible tweet (I know, redundant).

I’m thinking if Nancy P comes out for impeachment hearings in the next few weeks, the mental implosion will be complete.

    WTH indeed? I just went to TrumpTwitterArchive to see for myself what he’s been tweeting, and EVERY SINGLE TWEET FROM 2019 has disappeared! The last one in the archive is dated December 31, 2018. What the fuck is going on with him?

    There’s nothing Trump can inflict on John Legend and Chrissy Teigen beyond these futile outbursts. They won’t be hurt or damaged at all. You and I will point and laugh — at Trump. He’s figuratively just wasting ammo on them. But if anyone who works for him points that out, they’re endangering their job. Which is a great situation for those who like to point and laugh at Trump.

    I used to use that site, but in the past few months I believe (per commenter JPL) that it was taken down. But I didn’t think TrumpTwitterArchive was maintained by Trump or WH interests. Could be wrong. Anyhow, I don’t bother unless someone calls attention to an especially crazed or unhinged tweetstorm, and I can always google my way in if needed.

    CBP says they tried to coordinate with Balearia but company “made a business decision” to take the evacuees off the boat.

    You don’t really believe that, do you? At best, the US troops would have finally come home from a place we never should have invaded*, no doubt under somewhat embarrassing terms. And I would have applauded that result because, again, we never should have invaded to begin with**, but the war would have continued, and will not end until our supposed allies, the elected govt of Afghanistan, had been completely obliterated. We know this because they were not involved in the negotiations at the insistence of the Taliban. The only reason the President of Afghanistan was going to be at Camp David for the signing of the agreement is because, as everyone knows, no non-aggression pact is complete with out a sacrificial lamb being slaughtered at the alter of peace.
