Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Not all heroes wear capes.

“Perhaps I should have considered other options.” (head-desk)

Also, are you sure you want people to rate your comments?

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.”

If you still can’t see these things even now, maybe politics isn’t your forte and you should stop writing about it.

Following reporting rules is only for the little people, apparently.

Republicans cannot even be trusted with their own money.

When I decide to be condescending, you won’t have to dream up a fantasy about it.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

The press swings at every pitch, we don’t have to.

Donald Trump found guilty as fuck – May 30, 2024!

Someone should tell Republicans that violence is the last refuge of the incompetent, or possibly the first.

Whatever happens next week, the fight doesn’t end.

The snowflake in chief appeared visibly frustrated when questioned by a reporter about egg prices.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

He seems like a smart guy, but JFC, what a dick!

“Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on.”

This blog will pay for itself.

We cannot abandon the truth and remain a free nation.

Beware of advice from anyone for whom Democrats are “they” and not “we.”

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

Lick the third rail, it tastes like chocolate!

There are a large number of ways in which Trump, Barr, or Benczkowski could still fuck this up. I don’t expect Stone to do time. hopefully I will be wrong.

Keep in mind that Stone isn’t the only individual with connections to Trump who has been convicted of criminal activities. But Trump promised us that he knew “the best people”. He must have meant the best criminals.

But Kamala Harris was CRAZY to target Chumo for his twitter account ?

Remember how #KamalaHarris was on an island standing up for the whistleblower & the people/ witnesses he intimidated? Trump’s #ImpeachmentHearing tweets prove that #Kamala’s tough principled stand was right! If you agree #JusticeIsOnTheBallot, Chip in!

Folks, OTR shall return Monday; I’m still sorting out some tech issues in the new home and have one final re-do of my network and all shall be good. I’ve been limping along on phone and tablet, just got my computer all hooked up and updated only to find out my brand-spanking-new display/USB cable is faulty. Warning to Los Angelenos: I had to pick my wife up at LAX last night…holy F…what a shit show!! Took me over an hour to get from Sepulveda to Terminal and back to 105. And this was at 10pm on a Thursday night. I used to live right by LAX (circa 2007) and would pick people up there frequently and unless it was the Holiday rush, I could get in/out in 10-15 minutes.

Seeing Trump tweeting in real time trying to denigrate, undermine, and intimidate a witness testifying before Congress was honestly the most astonishing thing I have seen in a long time. And then to have Schiff stop the line of questioning from the staff attorney and draw attention to it. Wow. Future generations are not going to believe this shit.

Used to be a regular in and out of LAX and often there is so much traffic that nothing helps. However any glitch in the “smooth” movement that is supposed to happen, like construction, will delay the place so bad that no one gets anywhere on time. I think the place was designed by the same guy who did the Disneyland car ride. Looks good, fun even, but really you just go around in circles very slowly until you start to asphyxiate from the exhaust. And have an emergent medical condition caused by seeing your plane taking off while you still are driving around in circles.

New Orleans New airport is much worse. They also lose baggage. It is also much smaller than LAX. The wait for the planned interstate flyover exit is only three years…. or so.
