Pets of Balloon Juice 2020 Calendar

Please hold off on ordering the 2020 Balloon Juice calendars.

There has been some sort of hiccup with Cafe Press, and it appears that all calendar orders have been cancelled and refunds issued.

We will update tomorrow after we have talked to Cafe Press customer service.

The 2020 version of the Pets of Balloon Juice calendar is available!

Beth took John’s idea of including an In Memoriam component this year and made the calendar something truly special.

We have memories of General Stuck, efgoldman, Schlemezel, greennotGreen, and Scotian.

There’s even a picture of Charlie, along with the comment where the General first announced his new companion.  Check out January online, and I think you’ll be hooked.  Who knows, you might even find a fuckem from efgoldman, if you look hard enough.

Some of you will even find your own nym somewhere in the calendar, in conversation with some of the beloved jackals who have gone on ahead.

You can find the link to order the calendar – and all the ordering details – in the blue box, upper right, just underneath the balloon guy.  On mobile devices, the calendar link is the third item in the hamburger.

If you’re like me and you didn’t get your pet photos in (curses!) I think you’re still gonna want to have this calendar.  I’m getting one for myself, for sure.

I am also ordering calendars for Wolvesvalley, satby, Something Fabulous, Maze Dancer, Albatrossity, and Anne Laurie – as a small token of my thanks to each of you for your contributions to the new site. You all know what you did.  (So please send me your addresses so I can order your calendars.)

Beth really outdid herself with this one, and kudos to John for such a lovely idea.

Update: If you discover a problem with your pet’s photo or name, please speak up in the thread and wait to order – if there was an error on our part, it can be fixed and THEN you can order your calendar.

    It looks great, and someone who used to do photo arrays like that, I can tell Beth put in many, many hours. My cheapo phone photos of my two monsters who hate posing for pictures look better than I thought they would, ordered one.

    @Mary G: Yeah, nothing seems to be a coincidence.  January is all black and white and gray, just like the month, and most of February is in pairs, I assume in honor of Valentine’s Day.

    We are so lucky that Beth does the calendar for us.

    Help!  Can’t find how to order.  I’m on mobile and there is no “blue box under the baloon guy”.

    I checked the hamburger and at the bottom of the page under new posts, etc.  Ideas?

    It looks great! I didn’t get mine in time. We found out about two weeks ago that our shared dog only has about a year to live because of her ticker. Shes on medication right now. I will have to make sure that I have one for this year when the times comes to submit.

    Poor Trixie.. she’s such a sweet dog. I hope I get to spend some time with her before she leaves this plane. (yes, I know, Trixie is a stripper name :D

    Furr Beast @ is in January.  He loved being upside down like the pic.  We had to put him down not long after this photo – 19 years, almost 20.  The easiest ( no brushing longhair ), most talkative ( alt name Mr. Peepers) cat.  Very nice to see him in the calendar- memories… drippy happy sad eyes.

    @WaterGirl:  The one in the calendar must be from Edith, it’s a lovely surprise. So far I have got 3 images on my new phone and a big problem with the phone that I’ve been putting off  solving, i.e. it won’t connect to the wider world, so I have to fiddle with the support people–I just don’t have the patience to try to do this without losing my temper. But it will happen.  Merlin still doesn’t alight long enough for me to get organized.

    Um, is the valid link to order the 2020 calendars supposed to take us to the main calendars search page? It did that just now for me so I got a-scared. Then in the big search box on the same page I put in “Balloon Juice Calendars” and got random objects. Even more a-scared now. Thought I ought to say something & then everybody can laff and laff.
