    Members of Congress chanted “Four more years! Four more years!” as though the SOTU is a fucking MAGA rally.

    And so far, every word out of his cat-sphincter of a mouth has been a lie and an insult to Obama and all his other predecessors.

    Ok, they got up. He was pushing the Space Force and introduced a 13-year-old from Arizona who wants to be in it, because he loves space. Then he introduced the kid’s great-grandfather, one of the few remaining Tuskegee Airmen, who went on to serve in Korea and Nam. He turned 100 years old  on Dec. 7, and Twitler just gave him a retroactive promotion to general. That got the Joint Chiefs up and applauding. Very smart political move and I can see MAGAts all over America saying “See, he’s not a racist! Obama didn’t promote him to general when he had the chance.”

FDA approving new generic medicines at a faster clip than ever before. Prescription prices have actually gone down this year. What a load of horseshit.

    Trump sounds drugged (reading off the teleprompter), Pelosi is over it and busily pretending to read papers, and the Republicans cheering seems — sedated?

    I don’t know, maybe it’s just me projecting like mad and maybe it’s all the lies. OFC, Limbaugh gets a presidential medal of freedom but Trump is a guy who pardoned a war criminal and a human rights violating sheriff so blech.

    I don’t envy anyone who gives the “response.”

    Matt Duss, a foreign policy advisor for Bernie Sanders took the time to criticize Nancy Pelosi for ripping up Trump’s speech because she applauded too much during Trump’s speech. I’ll be elated if Sanders loses.

    Davy Crockett was not a Republican.  The party didn’t exist back then.  He was a Whig, whose signature issues were support for poor settlers on the frontier being threatened by land sharks, and support for the American Indians that Jackson wanted removed.  No points for guessing what side of these two issues Trump and his idiot base would fall on.

    Wyatt Earp was indeed a Republican.  His most famous accomplishment was the shootout at the O.K. Corrall, the cause of which was that… the Clantons wouldn’t surrender their guns as required by the law when entering the city limits.  No points for guessing how well today’s Republicans would view that, either.

    I’ve had my fill of Sanders’ schtick too, but I think his traction comes from ventilating the same anger that Trump did. It will be interesting to see who his supporters migrate to if he doesn’t get the nomination. I’ll vote for whoever it ends up being, but I’m really hoping it’s Warren.

    I did get a kick out seeing how poorly Diamond Joe’s “poke ’em in the chest and tell ’em to vote for someone else” tactic ended up working. Electability!
