    for those inclined, the actors from the film That Thing You Do! are doing a You Tube podcast/concert at 4pm PST (7pm EST) on Friday in honor of Adam Schlesinger (RIP), who helped write most of the soundtrack with Tom Hanks…. I believe the channel is called The Wonders, as a nod to the fictional band from the film.

    Yeah, I watched “The Disney Family Sing-Along” tonight. So sue me. It was actually pretty fun, though I think I was way less excited about the “High School Musical” reunion than everyone under, say, 25 years old was. And I was slightly horrified by how many grandchildren Donnie Osmond has. But other than that, I enjoyed it.

    I am so old that this was the very first time I’d ever heard the song. I’m sure the younger people in the audience loved it , but it was a little too auto-tuned for me compared to the other performances.

    Really? I’m thinking that video was produced by a racist because all the people were white, especially the children – all lily white and fair-haired.
