This is a fun Spanish band called Hinds. Pure fucking joy oozes out of every pore in their live performances. This song is pretty much a clapback to every dumb thing that people have said to them, and I love that about it:
“can i tell you something about you and your band?
cause i’m sure you’d love to listen to my advice;
you’re always out of tune and there’s no place there for you”
dude, do i know you?
“where are you from with that accent that doesn’t let you pronounce?
are you Spanish or something, wait, can you roll your R’s?
you’re too pink to be admired
and too punk to be desired”

A principal at a rural NC high school had a special gift for the graduating seniors.

I want that tortilla. Yum.

Nice! I had a pretty good punk playlist going while working from home today…seemed like a good idea for Friday. =)
Hey, J-Rubs has a nice summation of the Reade BS and the media’s double standards up at the Post: The Media Isn’t Fair: It Gives Republicans a Pass

My comment got ate, so I’ll try it again:
What’s on that list? If it doesn’t include The Slits – So Tough or Typical Girls, you need to add them pronto…for your listening enjoyment.

Was very fortunate to catch Hinds a few years ago at 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis. Great show. Great Band. Great Post!

@Jeffro:
As I say every time that phrase is used: The refs here want to be worked. You know what happens when liberals throw a wave of ‘you are biased and I hate you’ at the national news? The pundits GLOAT.
Roger Moore
@Jeffro:
An interesting tidbit from that one:
It just shows how incoherent they are. They call her Hitler because they know it’s the worst insult in our society, but if the actual Hitler were around, they’d salute and follow his orders.

@Roger Moore: Wow. Things have got to the point with these Nazi-trash gunhumpers that you can’t even comprehend the amount of stupid.
It’s. Just. Too. Much. Stupid.

I love seeing new videos like this.
The kids are alright.
I’m sorry we destroyed the environment and the economy for them. But if we can get out of the way and let them live, I think they’ll do okay.

So that was fun. For weeks the media insist Biden gives a full unequivocal denial of the Reade accusation, then he does, and just like that , now he needs to release all documents pertaining to his personal life down to his 3rd grade report card, apparently. Quelle surprise.

@Jeffro:
To be fair, Trump has distracted the media by killing thousands of Americans through neglect and mismanagement.

Never heard if them until 10 minutes ago. Pretty funky. The Wife and I went down a Beastie Boys rabbit hole on YouTube last night. Good times.

Another great punk band featuring young women taking shit from nobody is (are?) The Regrettes. I first heard them covering Fox On the Run on the AV Club, and love love love their album “Feel Your Feelings, Fool!”

@Roger Moore:
they’d send a limo, for sure.

@Jeffro:
nobody does. find any dem or liberal voter (esp a bernie bro) who’s all goin’ nuts over the reade allegations and ask them to name a single one of the nearly 2 dozen women who’ve accused trump of the same or worse. i’ll guarantee you they can’t come up with a single one. not one.

@Mom Says I*m Handsome:
Great band name.

@Mom Says I*m Handsome: Regrettes are very good, although I think their original rhythm section was better, Seashore and Hey Now are extremely good songs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iiqf2R462lo
I also quite like Colour Me Wednesday who sometimes are all woman and The Tuts, two very good Indie bands from England
