The guy running Cain’s twitter stream spit out this, less than 24 hours ago:
Our government, and our media, have incinerated their credibility. So, is it any wonder that people are skeptical? #Coronavirus

Shall I delete the bigfoot? Or is the picture worth keeping on the blog?

I know you’ve got more important stuff that worry about your twitter account when your family member is in the ICU battling COVID-19 but the stuff posted by whoever is in charge of Herman Cain’s twitter account is asking for a bitchslap from COVID19. I don’t understand why you would either shut it down or just ask for prayers/positive thoughts etc.

@Tom Levenson: PS–It wouldn’t entirely be true to say that I post to justify the art, but it wouldn’t be entirely false, either.
I have to think every member of Cain’s team saw the writing on the wall at least a couple of weeks ago, and they’ve been updating their resumes, searching for a new position, and grabbing as much loot as they can on the way out the door.
Feel for his family. But, he was too damn old to be that dumb.

I don’t really care- do you? The GOP is a death cult but I’m not going down with them…. plus if Republicans die from Covid but their deaths spare innocents- then isn’t it a net benefit?
Why do you hate German English-language rock music?
15.

@PPCLI: That would be the same bunch who a day or so prior claimed their boss was doing well and regaining his strength, but just on O2 to help the process. Literally whistling past the old guy’s grave.

In an effort to preserve my soul, I won’t piss on his grave…… Today. I am still attempting to be a decent human being at least a couple days a week. The struggle is real…..
This guy should have walked off the national stage after the Primary he lost. Sticking around to promote tRump actually besmirched his already tenuous status as a conservative Eminence Gris. Shutting up would have been the smart move

@Jerzy Russian: Just to clarify, did he die with Covid-19 or of Covid-19?
I am hoping there will be an entire sub-court of the Truth and Retribution Commission that devotes itself to the people who pushed that phrasing.
@Gravenstone: I know, but since Amir didn’t specify I’m guessing he was talking about German English-speaking rock in general. Accept fits the description.
Although I’ve never voluntarily listened to the Scorpions either.

I don’t care about being a good person anymore. I’m glad he’s dead and I hope more of these dangerous morons follow. They’ve been doing all they can to destroy civilization, so the fewer of them the better.

@Amir Khalid: I prefer my German rock in, well, German. East German to be exact. With a nice mix of hockey anthem and orchestra.
I also learned hockey is serious business in Germany. Especially in Berlin.

@Jess: This has popped up in multiple threads about Cain.
@Jess: Seconded. I have a ten year old and a three month old who’s futures I care about too much to feel anything but lingering contempt for all of these monsters. If that makes me a monster as well, so be it.
@Yutsano: If it’s a certain Berlin band, then the German shouldn’t be too taxing for non-speakers. It is interesting that ice hockey almost rivals football in a few cities (I suppose the in the east because it was quite popular behind the Iron Curtain) but what I find interesting is that the difference in Bundesliga arena sizes for hockey (and in some places – basketball) is quite large – and for regular first division teams, not just the ones that get promoted up and then relegated on a regular basis. Munchen Red Bulls plays in a 5k capacity shed (although they are building something a bit bigger) – Berlin in a proper arena. Shows how wildly inconsistent the following is across the country for sports outside football.
@laura: Ha! So “eventful” is how the kids say “batshit crazy” these days?

So does anyone wanna weigh in on whether when Herman Cain asks St. Peter if he can come on through the Pearly Gates into Heaven St. Pete says yes or tells him “Nein, Nein, Nein”?

I believe he sent that first tweet a couple of days after getting his positive CV19 test. He knew, and tried to take others down with him.

It’s okay – in the early part of this COVID-19 farce (i.e. early March), once the US gov’t realised that the majority of dead were POC, then it was time to relax and start to open up the beaches and the bars – Herman Cain is just part of the trend – i.e. whoah! we Repugs don’t need POC legislators anymore!! Just watched President Obama’s eulogy for John Lewis – I am in despair for what is lost – i.e. an articulate and compassionate leader – even if you don’t agree with everything 44-Obama did – 45-the next one is just appalling/embarrasing and out to lunch …

@Laura Too: Speaking of flood of memories, I sure do miss your wonderful uncle Schlemazel and wish he were here to weigh in on the events of the day. His passing brought you to the blog and that’s a big blessing right there. I’ve admired your activism and reportage from the streets of Minneapolis and am glad to share your name. Solidarity sister?
Those who prayed for Cain’s recovery better bring their A game next time.
