2021 Pet Calendar!
If you want your pets to be in the calendar, and you have not yet started the process with an email message to me, you have missed the deadline, but you have 24 hours to get a special dispensation from the pope. Send me an email message if the above statement applies to you.
Pet photo deadline is a week from tomorrow – November 1.
There are 3 lists, which are briefly described here. Details for each list are included under each list heading.
#1 – You have submitted your pet photos for the calendar, the resolution of the photos you sent is fine, and you are being asked to check your information for accuracy.
#2 – You have submitted your pet photos for the calendar, but there are issues with resolution, and you are being asked to upload a higher resolution version of your photo, if you have one.
#3 – You have started the process, but you have not yet sent in your pet photos.
LIST #2
If you are in this list, we have your pet photos BUT the photo you sent for the pet is NOT high enough resolution for the calendar. If your pet is on this list, please upload a higher resolution version of the photo if you have one. If you don’t, that’s okay, but your pet’s picture will likely need to be smaller in the calendar.
Also, if your beloved pet has crossed the rainbow bridge and you wanted either a heart or a rainbow next to your name, please make sure the correct information is under the Heart/Rainbow column. If you have not yet requested a heart or a rainbow, and you would like one, please let me know in the comments.

Do I still have time to put in my two pics of the two velociraptors ? The only time I have htem together is when they are on my messy couch and you’ve already rejected that picture. Otherwise, it’s impossible for them to be together – otherwise I will just take two separate pictures and call it good.

@cain: Yes, you have until November 1 – a week from tomorrow. So you can make the call at the last minute.
edit: rejection is such a strong word! :-)

@WaterGirl: I took all my pictures with my phone. I thought I picked the highest resolution possible. I may have missed a step. I’ve done that sort of thing before.

@Juju: We can go with the one of the two together, the resolution is okay, but it’s such a nice photo that I think Beth was hoping for an even higher resolution version. But if you sent what you have, we can work with that!

I took these with my old Canon. I hate to ask, but I am strictly a point-and-shoot photographer, so: is there a way of making the photo into a higher-resolution version?

@CaseyL: You can take a photo from higher res to lower, but unfortunately, there’s no way to take it from lower to higher.
So if those are the photos you’ve got, we can still use them, your guys will just have smaller pictures. And there’s always a need for small pictures here and there, so that’s not a problem for us. Just figuring that – all things considered – people would prefer to have their pets be larger. Are we going to stick with what you’ve got?

@WaterGirl: ok. Thanks. I had the option of picking the largest resolution for downloading or original. I picked original because I thought it meant larger data amount. If I picked the wrong size let me know and I will try again, otherwise do the best you can.

(My cats won’t move or rabbit off when I’m taking their picture with the camera, but for some reason will do so when I use the phone. Go figure.)

Okay, guys. I have updated the list up top, so it only includes the people who we still need to hear from regarding the need for higher resolution files. The list should be accurate as of 10/25 at 10 am.

Thank you, WaterGirl! I just re-sent Bo’s photo. I hadn’t realized that I’d exported the photo at such low resolution. The photo’s a little bit goofy, but then again so is Bo and I love it! I have much more serious portraits and photos of him at work (nosework), but this is how I think of him.

Info is correct. I might be able to access the original photo. It’s on my friend’s phone. She texted that photo to me while she was looking after Stewie. Didn’t occur to me the resolution of that texted photo might be an issue. So let me see if I can work this out and if not we’ll just go with what we have if Beth’s ok with that.
