Meadows’ artless book-tour admissions that TFG knew he was sick (and infectious) well before being ‘suddenly’ hospitalized has given our ‘strain at a gnat, swallow a camel’ Media Village Idiots an excuse to re-examine the fatal timeline:
Seven days. 500-plus people. @jdawsey1 and I follow the trail of potential infection following Trump’s first positive Covid test. https://t.co/lhlEbBoWJx

2/ Obviously I’m not surprised— but gets at a bigger point, which is that there is a lot of stigma around becoming infected/ incentives for certain people to try & not bring attention to it.
Unfortunately Trump did not help- he is part of the reason that atmosphere exists

Stenographer Haberman, not best pleased that Meadows just blurted out such a tasty tidbit, which she was no doubt saving for her upcoming book…
While Trump was trying to blame an aide for getting him sick while he talked to Hannity, he had returned from an event a short time earlier complaining he had no "strength" and his muscles weren't functioning, suggesting he had been infected well before https://t.co/AIHjNeumwh
— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) December 7, 2021
Look at the dog-like devotion on that well-nourished mug!
Meadows now says his point was Trump's test was false positive.
Except:
-Meadows himself said Trump looked ill
-Later negative test he describes isn't most reliable
-He told staff to treat Trump as infected
-Timeline = in line with earlier infectionhttps://t.co/z0vQnAKkUo

Post-op report:
Woke up about 5:40, got processed out of the med center and got back to Sighthound Hall about 7:00. Had Thai food with a Tylenol + codeine chaser. Getting into the “Ow! my balls!” zone. ? But the Tylenol+ is starting to work too.
Found a semi-comfortable (i.e., not actively painful) reclining position on the couch, and I’m trying to convince myself that I’ll be even more comfortable if I go upstairs to bed. Nutsack saying that the imagined improvement could be the enemy of the “It’s not so awful here, actually.” Negotiations continue.
. . . Oof. Just sat up to reach my glass on the coffee table—very bad move. Nutsack may have a point.
But the operation is behind me now, and it’ll get better from here. Thanks for all of your comments.

Trump’s performance (non-stop loud shout/talking[1] while facing directly at Joe Biden) during his debate with Biden was quite clearly at least in part attempted domestic political assassination.
Remember, earlier in the year he ordered an international political assassination of the head of a branch of Iran’s government, so he had a track record.

I would bet that a hundred times I’ve really tried to figure out this no-less-than-insane devotion to Trump. He could replace grilled hotdogs with his own turds and his followers would snap ’em up and roll their eyes in ecstasy.
It’s a cult of personality that allows for his followers to indulge their worst, most hateful feelings and urges.
What is the recovery process? I have no idea… wait for them to die, I guess.

After a most disastrous two weeks with “Hello Fresh” home delivered meals, I am on to “Gobble,” getting cranky because my first day is Tuesday and where is my box of food? I’m hangry, it was supposed to be here by 8 pm.
Finally logged in and it starts Tuesday Dec. 14. Next Tuesday. My brain is mush these days. Showed up for a pulmonologist appointment right on time yesterday only to be told the appointment was today. I canceled and his next availability is Jan. 17. It’s not a big deal except my CPAP is broken and I want a new one.

Anybody here living with macular degeneration? I got my first diagnosis of that yesterday, plus the start of cataracts. I’m 63 and it seems like a bit young for the former; probably both are due to a lifetime of living in a high altitude, high number of sunny days (more UV radiation) state and recreating at even higher altitudes. I’m bummed out about the MD diagnosis.

My mom has macular degeneration (wet type?) and she gets a shot in both eyes every 4 months. It seems to be effective at halting the progression of the disease. Obviously, I’m not a doctor, and I have no idea if that is applicable to StringOnaStick’s situation, but there is at least one treatment.
Best of luck…

@eclare: Denver fans are fiercely loyal, so I could see some umbrage. I hadn’t considered Rittenhouse solidarity, but at the same time that jersey doesn’t look new. In the end, Mommy giving out her toys to the spawn recklessly is pretty much on brand for her.

Folks. Remind me again, was this the debate when Trump was super ridiculously shouty and wouldn’t shut the fuck up for even a moment?

@StringOnAStick: The difference between dry and wet MD is important. Wet is worst. I have wet in left eye and dry in my right. Make sure you get a highly rated retinal specialist, if you can. The shots work! Also, take areds2 twice a day, and there are anecdotal reports that saffron supplements help. I do both. And wear amber polarized shades even on cloudy days and don’t go near a screen without uv blocking amber reading glasses. Mine was diagnosed when I was 65. I’m 68 and the frequency of shots has dwindled drastically. I haven’t had one in over a year, bt get a full check up every 3 months. They caught it early. As an artist I hope to have my sight into my 90s. Cataracts are more common. My specialist says eventually we’ll al get ’em.

To be honest, I’m kinda hoping her publisher demands the advance back, because there’s no point in putting her book together any more. Or just tells her to keep the advance and go away, as a sunk cost.

So the question is did Trump, knowing he was infected with COVID, intentionally intend to infect Biden at the debate?
