    I am so old now that these Santas look like children. And I am just barely a senior.

    ETA I think I threw it out when we cleaned out the parents house but we used to have a picture of me age 3 looking like a traumatized deer in the headlights, and my sister age 5 looking both coy and smug. And Santa was very young.

    Debbie’s Mom was one of thousands who cut their daughters bangs like that in those days. I have no Christmas photos to prove that. Just school pictures. Oh dear!

    Debbie, is the doll with the darker hair one of those dolls that had a button on the tummy and a knob on the back so that you could make the hair grow or shorten it?  If so, that is really neato.

    That’s WG, but it looks like that doll. I never got one of those, but it would have been better if I did. I did get a Chatty Cathy and a Barbie. I ruined them both when I cut their hair, not realizing that the “hair’ was only around the middle of the head. They looked like monks in dresses.

    Even better, I remember gluing cotton balls to Barbie’s head as replacement hair, and in despair at what that looked like, put both dolls in the back of my closet.
