On the Road is a weekday feature spotlighting reader photo submissions.
From the exotic to the familiar, whether you’re traveling or in your own backyard, we would love to see the world through your eyes.
Steve from Mendocino
More fun with shapes and textures in wrecking yards. When I first brought my black and white work into Photoshop, I played around with simulating different toners of different concentrations. For our purposes here, it’s admittedly a little odd but doesn’t get in the way of enjoying the junk. If I were going to put prints of these in a gallery, I would standardize on a single look. Editing is always an adventure!

I particularly love the old truck! Thank you for sharing with us sentimental gearheads.

Pick n pull, they are disappearing.

Nice!

That 55 chevy front end in the second to last shot would bring a pretty penny.
BellyCat
Very provocative work.

I agree with @eclare:, the doors caught me.
Wag
Excellent fin shot at #3. I have a soft spot in my heart for the retro jet fighter aesthetic.
Death Panel Truck
@Wag: That’s a 1959 Ford. Galaxie, Fairlane or Custom.
Mr Prosser
@Wag: With a ’56 Rambler wagon in the background, a picture of contrasts in what folks bought back then.
