… And then it embarrasses Mr. ‘Moderation is for cucks and luzers’, LOL.

But then the broke-arse, sh*tposting #failguys show up to bandwagon you, *sigh*…
This is false. I’ve had no communication, directly or indirectly, with Trump, who has publicly stated that he will be exclusively on Truth Social.

(As if TFG could ever get invited to Celebrity-Prom! Much less his dumb luzer daughter, who would probably kill any two of her kids and/or ‘Prince Jared’ for the opportunity… )

Ahem and harrumph, Goya spokesmodel daughter, surely?

Good morning, BJ. We’re waiting for our bus to the airport in Bordeaux, where we will catch a flight to Frankfurt and then one to Chicago. Home by 8 CDT tonight, god willing.
I have a cold. I haven’t had one in so long I’ve forgotten how annoying they are.
BellyCat
@Dorothy A. Winsor: Safe travels. Sounds like the trip was excellent. If every cold provided such pleasure they’d be more welcome, right?
Betty Cracker
@Dorothy A. Winsor: What a whirlwind trip you’ve had! It’ll probably be nice to get home, even though you’ve had a fabulous time.

Elon should strap himself to one of his rockets and set the coordinates for the heart of the Sun.
And then he can go fuck himself after that.

How come conservative guys all have the same “pouting asshole” face?
evodevo
@Dorothy A. Winsor:
Sounds familiar…I used to catch one every time we flew anywhere. I was hoping masks would put an end to that lol
Benw
@Dorothy A. Winsor: wow have a good trip home. Hope you had a fab time!
Barbara
@Dorothy A. Winsor: Try to buy chewing gum to help your ears. Colds can be more than annoying when you fly.

Parents helping their kids choose colleges in the current environment, note that all UC and CSU campuses are required to offer no-cost abortion services through student health effective 1/1/2023. This includes morning-after and chemical abortions.

I got a note yesterday from the LA Times, they’re printing my letter about my experience taking my daughter for an abortion. Here’s the letter…
On a cold, windy, gray March day in 1986, my mother and I drove my high school senior daughter to the only abortion clinic in our state. The decision was hers. The boy and his family took no responsibility.
We had no idea what to expect when we arrived at the clinic, which was surrounded by antiabortion protesters carrying signs with lurid photographs. As I got out of the car, a man with a plastic doll nailed to a cross and splattered with red paint confronted me. The words he screamed weren’t Christian.
Inside the clinic, the staff was kind and caring. When it was time for my daughter’s appointment, we hugged and kissed her. We watched her walk through the door. My mother broke down. I held her hand while we waited. The crowded waiting room was full. There were a few very young girls, with a mother or a grandmother waiting with them. Some women were alone or with a friend. A woman with two little children sat across the room from us. I was the only man in the room.
Our long drive back was quiet. When we got to my mother’s house, my daughter went to bed, and my mother and I held her for a long time. I was sad and outraged at the protesters.
My daughter graduated that spring with honors. She went to college in the fall and eventually earned her degree. She’s been a school teacher and a high school counselor. She founded an organization for girls’ empowerment and organized summer camps for girls.
As busy as she was, she raised three children. All three are thriving. My daughter recently went back to school and is now a practicing family therapist.
I’’ve always been proud of her, but never as proud as I was on that cold day in March 1986.

I was checking out Rachel Bitecofer’s twitter feed and ran across a good article on JD Vance’s primary victory by The Bulwark’s Charlie Sykes, titled “JD Vance knew what Republican voters wanted- and he gave it to them good and hard.”
eclare
@Jager: Great letter.
opiejeanne
@Jager: Good for you and her grandmother, for helping her.
I’m glad the Times is going to print your letter because it’s good.
Geminid
@Geminid: Two years ago Rachel Bitecofer left her faculty job at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, after being denied a tenure-track position. She is a single mother with a special needs child so it was a risky move. Bitecofer had been a political scientist and analyst, and for several years designed the Wason Center’s polls of Virginia registered voters.
Now Bitecofer has taken up political engineering; in her Twitter heading she calls herself a “Political branding strategist, Adslinger, and polling/targeting expert.” Arizonans will see some of her work product this year since a leading Arizona Democratic firm, Matters of State Strategies, has partnered with Bitecofer to fight that state’s midterm battles.
Bitecofer favors aggressive messaging. She has noted that while polling often shows that people say they don’t like negative advertising, polling also shows that these ads work. Bitecofer believes that Republicans have used “negative partisanship” to good effect (I think she’s right), and that Democratic messaging should lean into negative partisanship, and make the Republican brand stink.
Robin Goodfellow
@Geminid: She has a point there, you don’t fight fire with kindling. The Democrats consistently lose the messaging wars. When they go low, they win.
Geminid
@Robin Goodfellow: Bitecofer is by no means the first or only Democrat to advocate aggressive messaging. She has yet to prove herself, but a lot of people here have called for new approaches and “new blood” for the Democratic consulting class, and Bitecofer may bring it. I will try to catch Matter of State Stategies’ advertising in Arizona as best I can.
I’ve seen negative partisanship at work among the few Trump voters I know. They did not especially like or even respect Trump, but saw him as their defender against the “radical Left party” Republicans have successfully caricatured us as.
At this point, Republicans are on the wrong side of so many issues (in terms of majority opinion) that “negative partisanship” is really all they have to attract voters outside their base. And their base alone cannot win in purple states like Arizona.
Bitecofer’s article previewing the 2020 Presidential election in The New Republic, titled “Hate is on the Ballot” February, 2020 is a good short read that describes the dynamic of “negative partisanship” well.

The parody is of Musk is hilarious because it’s all too believable Musk is so out of touch he has a team of personal assistants who handled his sex life. Somewhere in a business park in Fremont, California there is a white board with Musk’s next date charted out in magic marker.
The more I see of Musk the more his body language and expressions remind of my ex crazy boss Tony. That whole crying, angry, smiling at the same time vibe. I think Musk has fried his own brain.
Enhanced Voting Techniques
That quote about the advanced AI is interesting, if that’s actually what’s going on. AI is the hot sexy buzz word in High Tech that all the cool tech bros want and Musk is the master of riding the hype wave.

I have to say while I think Musk is a weirdo, even by the low standards of nerds, I wouldn’t want to work for Tesla because to much OT, I love how….
1. Everyone has forgotten Musk mainly does business in deep blue California. The Tesla plant is Fremont, one of the bluest voting districts in the country.
2. Everyone has forgotten that electric cars were the the byword of wuss before Musk turned them into nerd Viagra. At the very lest that makes Musk a marketing genius.
3. The hold outs on thinking Tesla are the latest dick extender is the Red Hats, because magnets are Satan’s magic to them. In Musk’s eyes; that be an untapped demographic of all kinds of white guys worried about the size of their penis and eager to spend tens of thousands to get a bigger one,.
4. With this twitter buy out, Musk is now Idiot America’s darling. I am sure we will be hearing NYT columnists interviewing Tesla plant workers at a roadside dinner in Fremont,
CaliforniaKentucky as the Right retcons history (and I am sure the article is going to feature a picture of the Denny’s at Mission and Warren in the article with the words “heavy rush hour traffic from 880 that is so unusual for rural Kentucky” )Ruckus ??
@satby:
I’m going out on a limb here and saying they all have “pouty asshole face” because they are all pouty assholes because most other people in the world don’t value them anywhere near the level of or methodology that they value themselves by.
