Ukraine continues to be such a source of inspiration. For them to fight off the Russian invasion, to outright beat the fuckers, and resume their history as a free and independent nation, would absolutely be a light to the whole world.
And it would be one of history’s tragic ironies for the US to have assisted Ukraine to regain and keep its freedom if we wind up throwing ours away.

I really wanted to watch Eurovision this year, but having spent the afternoon enduring the emotional ups and downs of Liverpool FC’s second Cup victory of the season on penalties over Chelsea, and with my better half in Manchester at a comedy show with the ladies from work, it just felt a bit odd to be watching the whole thing on my own. So I watched Strange New World’s instead.
