Looks like there is a good amount of interest in the zoom tonight to talk about the Jan 6 Hearings.

I sent the zoom link through the Balloon Juice mailing list just now because this is kind of last-minute and it was expedient, but I think going forward we will have a separate mailing list for folks who are interested in zooms.

This can also be a good test of the mailing list because a lot of messages from mailing list places like MailChimp often end up in a special folder so the messages don’t show up in your inbox.  So if you’re on the mailing list but you don’t seem to have received the message about tonight’s zoom, then check “Promotions”.

Here’s a tip from JWR:

Something I found out about Gmail’s “Promotions” tab (Win10 + Gmail), here’s what I saw/did:

If you tried looking through your folders via the left pane, found “Promotions” and tried dragging a message to your Inbox, the message *might* be copied to your Inbox/Primary tab, but you won’t get the “Would you like all messages from (username) be sent to your Inbox/Primary tab?”.

But, if you click on Inbox, you should have header tabs across the top. You should see Primary, Social, Promotions and Forums. Click the Promotions tab from there and drag the message from (username) to the Primary tab, and you *should* get the “Would you like all messages from (username) be sent to your Inbox/Primary tab?”

Anyway, this worked for me.

    A lot of people said, “We are not the target audience for these hearings.”

    I think there are a lot of audiences for this. By keeping language accessible and not overly filled with legalese, it is not just DOJ. There is an attempt to get some conservatives to understand what really happened. Not sure if they are watching.

    I hate talking heads and TV commentary, and I like just the facts and my own thoughts.

    I’m glad we had some balance here on that thread Thursday after the Twitter rumors of Judge Luttig’s “recent stroke” seemed to be taken as fact.

    It’s nice to be part of a full service blog. Rumors are debunked (or at least cautioned) in real time.

    All of this said, I am not recovering from a stroke or any other malady, I promise. Thankfully, I have never been as sick or as so debilitated as that ever in my life, and would not want that for anyone. Knock on wood, I have never even been really sick a day in my life.
