The fifth stop of the trip was a drive along the Juan de Fuca Byway, a road that runs along the northern edge of the peninsula. I was far enough north at some of these stops that my phone kept insisting that I was in Canada and that roaming charges might apply. I wasn’t able to drive the full length of the road, as it was closed halfway through due to storm/landslide damage that was still under repair.
