Time for some more kindness.
I’ve been going through the backlog y’all have sent me and using up some of the older ones that have languished. I realized we may get some repeats because (please don’t remind John) we don’t have archives I can check and I may end up repeating a few. I delete them from my folder as I go, but I missed a few older ones and I can’t remember if I set them aside for “later” or posted and didn’t delete. So I decided I’ll err on the side of “they didn’t get posted.”
Here you go.

Both Adam and Steeplejack sent me this not long after Gottfried died:
You can read more about it here. https://t.co/Qwqm1HehNj

The entire story can be read here.

Bex sent in this sweet pup. Having had a 3-legged Great Dane, I can attest, it does not stop them:

From SiubhanDuinne (who sent me a bunch that I’m still dishing out slowly):

And finally, I ran across this one this week:
That’s it for this edition. I’m sorry I don’t have any cute critter pix for you. With Nora still in confinement and Nick completely distressed by it, which is distressing Trixie who doesn’t know how to help, I’ve got my hands full. Keep a good thought, if she lays a hard-shelled egg soon, I think we’ll be through the worst of it and she’ll be able to be outside again.
Until next time…
Just One More Canuck
Hate to go off topic, but Pat Cipollone (aka Patsy Bologna – thank you Betty on twitter) has been subpoenaed by the Jan 6 committee
Ohio Mom
@Just One More Canuck: As if I didn’t already have whiplash from going from Majorx4’s horror movie post to this one.
NeenerNeener
@Just One More Canuck: That makes me happy, so it’s not really off topic.
Sister Golden Bear
I’ll note that historically, a high percentage of gay couples who adopted kids ended up with the children no one else wanted to adopt. For exactly the reasons described by the Italian gay man.
Mnemosyne
A Regency rom-com I’m super excited about opens this weekend. I’m treating a friend to the movie — not only has she done all of my beta reading, but she’s been trapped at home with her elderly father-in-law and hasn’t been able to get out to a movie with another person since 2019.

I checked my site archives/mirrors, both old and new site, for the urls in this post, and found no duplicates.
HTH.
Quaker in a Basement
I sent one to TaMara via email, but it bounced. Is there a better link for these items?
TaMara
@Quaker in a Basement: Try this one: whats4dinnersolutions (at) live (dot) com
ETA: A reminder, I do reply with a thank you to all the ones I receive. If you don’t get that, I didn’t get your email. :-)

@TaMara:
I said it at the very end of an almost-dead thread, but our mutual friend Jen (the editor) says hi.
I did some book coaching with her earlier this year, and we’re on FB together a lot.
NotMax
A true story.
Stepsister, who is chockablock with stress — husband suffering through ALS, recent retirement, placing their
three story NYC townhouse on the market in order to search for, find and plan to move to an apartment in an elevator building due to hubby’s condition, etc. (won’t belabor the point with a full list) realized they had over decades accumulated way too many books to transport when they finally relocate to new digs.
She somehow found the time and energy to set up a book sales table in the neighborhood post-Dobbs and managed to rake in a goodly penny by advertising that all proceeds would be donated to Planned Parenthood, which they were.
Leslie
Thanks for these. I have the memory of a goldfish, but I will try to remember to send you good things when I find them
Leslie
@Mnemosyne: Strong Bridgerton vibes! Looks like fun.
MomSense
I follow two Instagram accounts; good news movement and good news correspondent. They post wonderful, uplifting videos everyday.

@zhena gogolia:
Technically, it pre-dates “Bridgerton” since they did a short proof of concept version with a diverse cast to raise funding before that show aired, but I’m sure they were able to secure the final funding because “Bridgerton” was a hit.
