Open Thread (and Ukraine Quilt Raffle Update)

Just a few quick things about the Quilt Raffle.

1. Raffle tickets are no longer on sale.

2. If you already “purchased” a raffle ticket but haven’t forwarded your ActBlue receipt to me please do so ASAP.

3. I have all the raffle Act Blue receipt email messages tucked away in a special Quilt Raffle email folder. At some point today I will add everyone who bought a ticket to a spreadsheet, which I will put up in a post so you can all check my work.

4. I will ask everyone who “purchased” a ticket to confirm that you are indeed on the list.  You will all have 24 hours to let me know if you are missing from the list.

5. Once I’m sure everyone is on the list, we will have the raffle drawing and the winner will be announced.

    WaterGirl – I’m having hip replacement surgery today and I’ll be unable to validate my two tickets in your spreadsheet. Please confirm I’m in for two.

    @HinTN:   Good luck!  Everyone I know who has had a hip replaced only regrets that they didn’t do it sooner.

    I open the FTFNYT to see what they think is critical for the gentry to know.  Right up top is “Justice Dept. Is Asking Witnesses About Trump in Its Jan. 6 Inquiry.”  Click on it and I find it’s by the crack team of Haberman and Thrush and I just say “screw that.”  Off to the Washington Post for a presumably less sketchy report.

    Does anyone else find themselves unconsciously watching for news of another Jan 6 hearing?  My head knows that we’re done until August – but the heart wants what the heart wants?
