Given TFG’s recent rallies, I was half-afraid to click on the Twitter TRENDING sidebar… fortunately, this was the top post. The official YouTube video doesn’t seem to be online yet, but obviously there have been a *lot* of people (2,455 in the United States) waiting for this.

    Heather Cox Richardson is bringing the fire in today’s letter.  I had commented recently that Stormy Daniels has flipped the script on the power imbalance that existed between her and Dotard.  That smart and effective method, started by E. Jean Carroll, should continue.  This is an auspicious week for those of us enjoying the slow motion denouement of Dotard.  Kick that bastard while he’s down, and repeatedly, so he’ll never forget.  Trouble rides a fast horse, cowboy.

    Five years ago, I never would have believed the Republicans would be keen to allocate resources for a Senate race in Maryland but hesitant to do the same in Arizona, but that’s where we are now according to a recent Politico article:

    Kari Lake keeps giving Republicans         reasons to worry

    Kari Lake keeps reversing her own positions and stirring feuds, and some in the GOP see other states as better targets this fall.

    The article has plenty of dirt on Kooky Kari, along with the news that:

       [Ruben] Gallego started April with nearly four times more cash than Lake and is a formidable fundraiser.

    In March, Gallego’s campaign started airing ads highlighting his working class background and his service leading Marines in Iraq.

    Meanwhile, Lake’s campaign is off the air while, as former Republican Rep. Matt Salmon put it, she “ties herself into a pretzel” over abortion laws. Lake seems more eager to campaign for other candidates in other states than for herself in her own.

    Last week Mitch McConnell told reporters that various Republican senatorial PACS planned to back former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s campaign to replace Senator Ben Cardin. When asked about Lake’s race McConnell replied, “Who knows about Arizona?”

    That used to be a fairly normal way for an ambitious politician to brush up their national creds when angling for a vice-presidential nod. But in the Trump GQP that’s unnecessary, as Lake seemed to recognize. She’s been screaming”election fraud” pretty much constantly for three years now, establishing her “would step off the edge of a cliff if Thulsa Doom asked” level of devotion to Trump.

    Mad love for Donald Glover. He is great on Community, if anyone hasn’t seen that. (6 seasons and a movie, with a movie in the works, apparently?)

    And apparently Chevy Chase was a racist, jealous asshole on set. Which sucks on so many levels. But the show itself is fun, if anyone is looking for a rec. I think most of the episodes are on Hulu or Netflix. (*1 D&D episode has a character played by Ken Jeong that does blackface, so I don’t know that that’s on streaming. Good episode, but definitely get why that one isn’t up anymore.)

    @Geminid: Why would Lake campaign or need money for a campaign? She knows she already won, and if anyone says different, it’s fraud.
