      About the Brits and their passports being checked, Great Britain was never in the Schengen Area, so Brits had to have passports checked when entering France before Brexit. Although, before Brexit, there might have been a way to have a French agent in GB to do the checking before the paratroopers got on the aircraft.

He’s the the state Senator challenging Freedom Caucus Chair Bob Good for the 5th CD nomination. I did not click on the link for details, but it tells me that Good might be in trouble.
