    Here’s the Senate polling I was talking about, if anyone is interested.

    Senate D’s are running ahead of Biden in 4 swing states – NV, AZ, PA and WI. Add OH although it isn’t a swing state. And FL, right? (!)

    I don’t know what to do with this information but it is happening :)

    Last night we had a thunderstorm with high velocity straight line winds that took our power out, causing me to miss a movie I really wanted to see (The Go Between on TCM).  Today’s follow up storm predicted to be worse (hail, etc.) BUT we’re finally gonna get a break from the heat AND the stupidity humidity tomorrow. I’m grateful, this jungle weather in this locale in June is nearly unheard of.

    My dry sauna cycle yesterday included a couple highlights: dude on the Parkway path riding in full IJA WWII uniform, including hat and sword, and a box playing marching music. Okay then.

    Distant stray dog that proved to be coyote, zigzagging up the path and then showing off his squirrel to me, before dashing into the brush. Was either mocking my lacking a squirrel of my own, or “catch me if you can.”

    Mad dogs and Englishmen, out in the mid-afternoon sun.

    @eclare: I have a weird take on multi-season shows…I find there’s a tendency for characters to get pigeon holed and there’s a loss of novelty and authenticity. For example, the agent and his kooky assistant were more or less minor characters but in Season 3, they’re bumped up to ensemble status and to me, not as quirky or funny.

    Still and overall, I enjoyed the show and will likely watch the next season when it airs.

    @Sure Lurkalot: I agree on the agent and his assistant — way too much of them in this season. Other than that, I loved it.

    ETA: He’s one of the writers, so I guess that’s how his role got expanded. I preferred Marcus, but he seems to be on the way out.

    @rikyrah: Two memories of mine here: I had a cousin who was a Head Start Teacher, and she loved those kids so much – and we all loved her. We only found out later what a stone cold racist she was, e.g. recoiled and gagged when she saw my Christmas card from Obama and Michelle. And 2, I’m still reeling from the interview with the head of the Heritage Foundation. Getting rid of the Republican Party and replacing them with Magas? Really?

    I went to Head Start back on the Rez, I grew up thinking everyone had that. It was our kindergarten too, it was a small very rural Rez in northern Minnesota.
