I keep hoping that he will have the big melt down – but the brain keeps telling me his stooges probably have him under control. Maybe that can’t last the length of the debate – I don’t know how long it goes – is this predetermined? – or are there x number of questions?

      I gather that is not how it works – I think the last debate I watched was the start of Romney/Obama.

      Just discovered our local SBS is taking the ABC feed – so I have the TV on muted – if BJ tells me its going OK, I will try and catch a few words – otherwise muted it stays so I can check the subtitles whenever I get a chance (TV is not in the room where I work)

      @Chet Murthy: I look around here, and I absolutely get the appeal. It’s beautiful and beachy and the shops and restaurants are very nice. But oh my God, I am just so not this kind of person and I got an earlier flight and I’m leaving tomorrow afternoon….. and I’m so happy.

      Well, the Wise Guy doc didn’t last long enough.  I thought it was 4 hours and it was only a bit over 2.  Really good and I was never a fan of The Sopranos.  David Simon is an interesting guy.

      Now trying to figure out what to watch.  No way I’ll be following the debate other than here and at TPM.  Anything good on Netflix, Prime, MAX or AppleTV?  No blood and guts, no superheroes, no fantasy.  True crime, comedy or legal thrillers are automatically considered.

      I have heard good things.  But my next older sister, a couple of girlfriends and I get together and watch a series or movie together every weekend.  The Perfect Couple is next on our playlist after we finish The Bear.  Which we loved, since we’ve all worked in hospitality at one point or another in our careers and two of our group made careers of working in fine dining (my sister and one of our girlfriends). It feels very real to life in so many ways.

      I guess there is no match left on the NE SEN/NE 2 race, but I did just put in $25.  I was on vacation and off the grid when it went up and just saw it.

      That’s in addition to my regular Vargas donations and occasional Osborne ones.

       

      Just in case a match appeared again.

      And then I went back to put in $10 for NC where there does still seem to be a match.
